Hey old runners, how are you? It's great to see comments from Jim and Steve. Is Weber still coaching? Wow! I've got a daughter who's pretty fast (she must have got her speed from her mom) and I've promised to take her to some events this year. Maybe I'll see some of you around the track. Hope all the old runners (and coaches) are doing well! Has anyone heard from Brian H?

Class of 1975

Just dropped by to see how the team was doing. I ran XC in '71-'72 and '72-'73, under coach Jim Schultz and then Wayne Gutowsky.

Hello Coach Weber. Nice to see that some things don't change. Hope life is treating you and your family well.

After stumbling upon this website, I must say what a treat. That Steve Valen guy was a legend when I was at ELMO. It makes me feel better knowing that I am not the oldest former Vanguard out there and I am still running. Congratulations to Coaches Weber and Ahern for continued dedication and success. I can't believe your kids are in/out of college!!!!!!

Hi Coach Webber & Ahern. I see from the photos you two are still doing great. Every summer I say i'm going to make it down south for the alumni race. Mostly just to say "hi". But life is very busy. A lot of fun but very busy.

Anyways...Great website. It was nice seeing pics of the two of you.

PS - That Steve Valen guy who signed the guestbook is really old. :-)

Well done website. Although there have been quite a few changes since my day, glad to see the spirit remains the same. Am hoping the "Donkus" award has been retained; the good doctor would not be the man he is without having received it. Good job this season and good luck on the oval. My best to Webber and Ahern, and note - as predicted, the off spring indeed have leg speed.
