SOFTBALL ON THE RED SEA
Local youth, boys and girls ages 12 to 18, are invited to participate in the exciting Eilat Softball League. We are starting our fifteenth season in October, 2008. The Noar (Youth) Division, ages 12-18, play modified and fastpitch. Rookies (beginners) play slowpitch. The season lasts from October to May.
League playoffs in April and May. Softball Awards outing on the Red Sea in May/June. Youth games are played every Friday on the grass at the Municipal Stadium, Rehov Kampen, Eilat, Israel, on the Red Sea. Newcomers and visitors are invited.
The Bogrim (Adult) Division has played in the Israel Softball Assn. National League and the Gillet Fall Tournament. Currently, adults play in our Saturday open games.
The ESL was founded in 1995, by Jack Kurtz, a Sabra from Tel-Aviv, who spent many years in the United States. A non-profit, registered association was established in 1999. We are members of the Israel Softball Association and Otzma-Israel Center of Sport Clubs.
We are proud participants in the annual Hanukka Invitational Tournament (HIT) in Rehovot in December and the Israel Junior Men's National Championship in Petah-Tiqva during the Passover holiday.

Softball Rookie Camp, Friday, 8 and 15 September
New players (rookies) are invited to attend the Eilat softball rookie camp on Friday, Sept. 8, and Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at 3:00 pm, at the Shalom Lagoon Softball Field, Kampen Street, opposite Denis Kingdom Fish Restaurant.
Fundamentals and game basics will be taught. Bring your friends. We're getting ready for our thirteenth season, 2006-7, and we want you. Lots of activities and competitions are scheduled. Free, no charge for the two rookie camps.
Autumn Training for veterans starts Friday, Sept. 29, at 15:00 pm.
