A very hard loss to swallow. Do everything right but score and then let up a couple of bad goals. A lot at stake today and we did not get it done. At BE next in Thursday.

EASTERN-0, GLOUC. CATHOLIC-1 (Coaches Rd#2)
Tough loss. Domination for long periods early in each half results in no goals. GC capitalizes on a marking mistake to score the games only goal. Hopefully those playing with the flu, and those out with the flu get healthy soon. GC played well and it was a fun game to watch except for the result. Wash Twp next, home on Tuesday. Need this one to play for the conference championship.

Madison Tiernan notches her first career hat trick with goals 13, 14, and 15th on the season. Kelsey Long added her 12th as the Vikings cruised today. Deana, Kaitlyn, and Kerri shared the shutout which for Kerri is a record setting 19 1/2th of her career giving her the career Eastern shutout record. Randi Stecki saw her first varsity action and notched an assist. Many of the girls are battling the flu, but the Vikes still got the job done today.
Coaches Rd #2 on Friday 6pm vs an opponent TBD.

EASTERN-4, MOORESTOWN-2 (Coaches Tourney Rd#1)
Win and move on- the theme of the day. A Coaches Tourney Rd#1 matchup with the always dangerous Moorestown Quakers. Madison scores 2 goals (11,12th), and AK (1st) and Kelsey(11th) add one each on beautiful set play goals. A couple of commmuniction breakdowns led to two goals against, but persistance paid off with the 4-2 win today. Advance to play the winner of the Rd 1 Bishop Eustace and Gloucester Catholic game. CH East next on Wednesday away at 3:45.
GOALS: TIERNAN (11,12), KONSTANTINIDES (1), LONG (11)

EASTERN-1, WASHINGTON TWP-0
Big win for the Vikes. McG wins for the first time in 7 years at the monstrous Twp field, as Kelsey Long slots a ball into the open net with about 10 minutes left. Gutsy performance by all of the Vikes today as they again played without K.A. in the middle. Numerous others playing hurt, including the return of gimpy but effective A.K. in the back. Have to find a way to get healthy soon, despite a murderous upcoming schedule. Lenape Thursday away 3:45.
GOALS: LONG (10)

EASTERN-1, CHEROKEE-0
A day off yesterday proved a good move as the Vikes came up big with a win over the rival chiefs. Lauren Minghenelli saw her first varsity action replacing AK at sweeper and did a solid job. We lost Kerri midway through with an injury, but we battled and had some great efforts off of the bench. The dynamic duo did it again, as Kelsey Long served up her 10th assist and Madison added her 10th goal on a beautiful corner kick volley. The Vikes have off until Tuesday where they travel to Wash twp for the first meeting of the year with the Maids. GO VIKES!

EASTERN-2, SHAWNEE-3
Painful loss in OT for the Vikings. Injuries, tired legs, no match for the Renegades. Up 2-0, we couldn't hold the lead when several players had to leave the game due to injuries. Playing oour 4th game in 5 days, the girls showed a ton of heart. Let's regroup, heal up and get ready for Cherokee Thursday.

EASTERN-1, CLEARVIEW-2
Sluggish first half leads to an 0-1 deficit. Better 2nd half and a tying goal with 8 seconds left on a corner from kelsey Long. Continue to pressure for winning goal, but an own goal in transition in second OT costs us the game. Tough way to lose. Must bounce back tomorrow vs WD. 7pm away.
