Restroom Vandalism During EGCLLA Practices

Someone vandalized the men's restroom at Hoppe Park during EGCLLA practices late last week (April 17-18).  The restrooms are locked except during Little League practices and games so we know that this happened during Little League practices.  We are asking parents to please supervise their children during practices to ensure that this does not happen again.  If it continues to happen the city will not allow us to unlock the restrooms during practices.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Parking and Littering Issues
We are asking that all coaches and parents please observe and obey all parking restrictions around all of the ball fields. Please do not block driveways or park in restricted areas that are reserved for other uses.
Also please do not litter in the parks or in the surrounding neighborhoods. We ask that you are courteous to those living near the ball fields and respect their property. Thank you.

Documentation is Posted in Handouts Section
The documentation that has been distributed at the coaches' meetings has been posted in the Handouts Section. There are 3 sections listed under Handouts: Rules, Coaches, Registration. Check these sections out if you need extra copies of the documentation.

Heat Related Issue
7/22/05
We have received a few emails concerning the heat recently and possibly canceling upcoming games. The coaches should address this with their own teams and the parents of their players. If the heat is considered to be a safety issue for anyone the coaches should take appropriate action including but not limited to supplying plenty of water, taking breaks between innings, allowing players to rotate in and out, limiting catcher duties, and even canceling games. Don't force or ask anyone to play in the heat if they or their parents don't want them to. We don't want anyone to suffer injury or illness due to weather conditions beyond our control. If anyone has any questions or concerns please let us know.

Glen Carbon Miner Park Parking
6/02/2005
The Village of Glen Carbon is requesting that the Little League use the parking lot that is within Miner Park for Little League games and NOT the parking lot next to the library. The parking lot next to the library is reserved for library use and also as a commuter lot for the MCT buses. The Village is posting signs by the library parking lot and is asking for our cooperation. Please honor their request.
