If you were part of Edmonds Warriors Junior Football last year you won’t have to re-enter any of your information:

Update any information that may have changed from last year
Register your child

When do we need to sign-up?
You can register any time before August if there are any open spots.  Every year we have teams that fill as early as May.  Signing up earlier insures your spot and it also helps us with our planning, ordering and budgeting.  If you wait, you are increasing the likelihood that you may miss out.  Also, new this year, we're offering a $30 discount to everyone who registers and pays by March 31st.

Can I make payments?
Yes.  When you complete the online registration, select “Pay by check” at checkout.  You can make payments by check either by mail or in person, or by credit/debit card through the online registration site.

When do I need to pay?
You must have 50% (or more) of the registration fee paid in order to be officially registered.  You must be paid in full before equipment and uniforms are issued the last week of July. We work extremely hard to keep our fees very low: $110 for 76ers, $165 for 89ers, Peewees, Bantams, & Juniors and $200 for Seniors.  Everything is included in the fee except for cleats and a mouthguard.

Do you offer refunds?
No.  There are a lot of historical reasons for this policy, but the simple explanation is that a “no refunds” policy eliminates many potential problems and other issues.

When do practices begin?
Practice begins each year on the first Monday in August (August 3rd, 2015).

How often is practice?
In August, practice is held five days a week, Monday through Friday.  After Labor Day practice is held three days per week – typically Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Seniors practices are held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after Labor Day.

What time are practices?
Practices are usually held from 5:30 to 7:30.  Some of our teams will shift practice times to 5:00 to 7:00 around the second week of October due to darkness.

Where is practice?
76ers, 89ers and Peewees practice at Edmonds Woodway High School.  Bantams, Juniors and Seniors practice at College Place Middle School.

When are the games?
Games begin on the first Saturday after the Labor Day weekend (September 12th, 2015) and continue every Saturday through the first weekend in November (November 7th & 8th, 2015).

Is there a Jamboree?
Yes, each season our league holds a Jamboree on the Saturday before Labor Day weekend (August 29th, 2015).  Each team will attend a weigh-in and then play in two short scrimmages.

Where are the games?
Our home games are played in Edmonds Stadium at Edmonds-Woodway High School.  The location of away games will vary depending on the schedule and opponent.

How many games are there?
Each team will play 8 or 9 games.

What if we’re not in the playoffs?
Every team plays through the end of the season, even if they are not in the playoffs.  Consolation games are scheduled based on records which typically results in closely matched games.  In general, the final three weeks of the season are the best match-ups of the year for every team.

What equipment do I need to buy?
Edmonds Warriors Junior Football supplies all of the equipment that a player will need except for cleats, a mouth guard and an athletic supporter with cup.

This includes: Helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, hip pads, tailbone pad, thigh pads, knee pads, practice jersey, practice pants, game jersey and game pants. Our equipment is the highest quality to insure maximum protection and safety for our players.

Cleats do not have to be a specific brand, model or color.  Most players wear black cleats, some wear white or green.
Mouthguards must have a strap that attaches to the facemask.

Can I wear my jersey from last year?
Yes (if it fits).

When do the players get their gear?
Player suit-ups take place the week before practice begins.  The suit-up schedule will be published to the EWJF website and sent in our newsletter in June.
