Welcome!  The mission of Edmonds Warriors Junior Football is to provide a positive introduction to youth football and prepare young athletes for the challenges of high school sports. Our program is coordinated with the Edmonds-Woodway High School football program with the goals of increasing participation, experience, knowledge, safety and skills for all players.

Practice Begins August 3rd
Our first week of practice begins on Monday. All teams will practice in shirts, shorts, shoes and helmets only on the first day.

Here are the practice locations for each level:

  • 76ers and 89ers will practice on the softball field at Edmonds Woodway High School (north of the stadium field)
  • Peewees will practice on the grass practice field at Edmonds Woodway High School (south of the stadium field)
  • Bantams, Juniors and Seniors will practice at College Place Middle School.

 All teams will practice from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

 

Remember to Hydrate
Although this week is going to be cooler than the recent 90's, it is still going to be hot:

Make sure your player is hydrated and brings water to every practice. Sports drinks are also OK, however for the 76ers and 89ers you cannot bring them on the synthetic turf.. Remember: Helmet, Shirt, Shorts and Shoes Only on Monday (not full gear)

Six Levels - Organized by Age & Weight
Teams in our league are organized by age and weight with six levels of play for ages 6-14. This is the most widely used approach in youth football (see www.popwarner.com) and a very successful approach (used by the Greater Eastside www.gefja.net). Other leagues may not account for weight variations and may offer fewer levels of play. Our approach is structured to increase participation opportunity and safety for every player. Here are our six levels of play, age, weight and fee information:
