2010 Registration is OPEN
It's that time of year again! Time to think "Spring" and "baseball".
The board and your registrar have done much to streamline the registration process this year, including
~ Eliminating mail-ins in almost all cases. Documents that used to require signatures may now be signed electronically online.
~ Simplifying the deposit process by creating a single $150 deposit that covers both parent participation and uniforms. This deposit is now paid at registration time using your credit card.
~ Offering an installment payment option of two payments for your registration fees and deposits.
The registration website may be found here: https://ecyb.d4sportsreg.com
2010 Age Cutoffs for Divisions
Eligibility for divisions is determined exclusively by birthday. Ranges for each division are:
~ Shetland (5/6) - May 1, 2003 thru April 30, 2005
~ Pinto (7/8) - May 1, 2001 thru April 30, 2003
~ Mustang (9/10) - May 1, 1999 thru April 30, 2001
~ Bronco (11/12) - May 1, 1997 thru April 30, 1999
~ Pony (13/14) -May 1, 1995 thru April 30, 1997
Registration Fees
Base fees for the 2010 Season remain the same as last year:
Shetland Players - $85
~ Players in all other divisions - $125
~ Base Fees are adjusted in the following cases:
~ $10 Sibling Discount - is applied to additional players from the same household after the initial player pays the full fee.
~ $15 Non-resident Fee - is added to all players that do not reside in El Cerrito .
~ $25 is added for all players registered after November 7, 2009.
Limited financial aid is available for fees only (not for deposits). You may apply for consideration for financial aid at registration, but a request must be submitted in writing in order to be considered for approval of the ECYB Board. Names of applicants are held in strict confidence and are not used during the approval process.
Parent Participation and Uniform Deposit
Note: The deposit process is substantially different from previous years. A single $150 deposit is now required, and it must be paid up front using your credit card.
This year every household is required to pay a single Parent Participation/Uniform deposit of $150 at the time the first player is registered. This deposit will be refunded after the end of the spring season only if parent participation duties are completed as specified in the registration agreement *and* league uniforms are returned.
In order to reduce the burden of paying your deposit up front, we are offering the option to split your total registration amount into two installments, with the second payment not due until December 15, 2009.
The Online Registration Process
The entire registration process can now be completed using our online registration system. Mail-ins are no longer required unless you need to provide proof of age for a player new to the league!
During the process you will be asked to:
~ Provide contact information for your family
~ Provide medical information about the player(s) you are enrolling for use in the event of an emergency
~ Authorize medical treatment for your player(s) in the event of an emergency
~ Indicate which league volunteer jobs you might be willing to perform
~ Agree to the terms of registration, which include commitments to abide by league rules, perform volunteer duties (or forfeit deposit money) and return league property (or forfeit deposit money)
~ Sign a liability waiver
~ Pay registration fees and parent participation/uniform deposit using a MasterCard or Visa. Payment may be made in full at registration, or split into two payments with full payment required by December 15, 2009.
If your player is new to our league, you must provide a photocopy of proof of age. Instructions for doing so are included in your registration confirmation.
