East Cobb Football welcomes youth ages 5 through 12, based on age as of July 31, 2009

Welcome to East Cobb Football...Home of the Vikings!  The East Cobb Vikings play in the Northwest Georgia Youth Football League (NWGYF) and will compete against teams from Cobb, Paulding and Cherokee Counties.

Tentative Practice start date July 27, 2009  Football practice is 5 nights per week until school starts and then 3 nights a week. Practices last 2 hours and are held at some time between 5:30 and 9:00 p.m. as set by each team's head coach.  For the first 3 days of practice, players should report wearing helmet, cleats, t-shirt and shorts.  After a players has 3 days of practice wearing helmet only, they will fully dress out in shoulderpads, helmet, and practice pants.

Games begin the last Saturday in August and continue through October.  Playoff games run into November.  GAME SCHEDULES may not be issued until the week before the first game.

Half of the games are played at Fullers Park. The other half are played away at parks no more than a 45-minute drive from our park. Each team will have approximately 10 regular season games. Most games are played on Saturday, but there might be a weekday game.  Generally, the younger age teams will play earlier in the day and our older age teams will play in the afternoon and evening.  Our primary HOME field is located within Fullers Park off Robinson Road adjacent to the Rec Center at the rear of the Park, and our auxillary field is located directly off of Robinson Road a short distance away

***East Cobb Vikings provides every player with a helmet, shoulder pads and game pants.  Your jersey is included in the registration fee and is your to keep.  Jerseys will not be distributed until mid August.

It is the players responsibility to provide a mouth piece(cannot be clear in color) cleats, white no show socks, practice jersey, practice pants and a girdle. These items can be purchased at your local sports store.
