For our Lady Vikings ages 5 - 12
Registration for the 2009 Cheerleading Season will begin on-line April 1st. Our Season begins in August and runs into November.
The 2008 season brought over 100 Viking Ladies to the field, cheering on our fabulous football players to victory! Most cheer squads practice 1 to 2 days during the week, with games on Saturday.
UNIFORM
New uniforms will be purchased this season and we are very excited about the new design! The parents spoke, and we listened! East Cobb Vikings will provide a top, body liner, skirt and bloomers. Each girl will provide their own shoes, socks and hair ribbon. You childs coach will be happy to recommend which type of shoe and ribbon is preferred. * Due to the nature of these uniforms being custom made, we will be asking for a uniform deposit of $50, which can be in the form of a check and will be held by the League until the uniform is returned.
This season due to the nature of our uniforms being custom made, we will be implementing a new approach to getting the correct size for your daughter. Elite Sports will have fitting days at their store on WED and SAT during the month of JUNE. To insure proper fit it is very important this season to register early and take advantage of the fitting opportunity at Elite Sports.

PRACTICES
Practice uniforms should consist of comfortable shorts and shirts. Athletic shoes should be worn- no sandals or crocs please.
Practice will begin July 27th at 6pm and run 4 evenings a week for the first 2 weeks prior to school beginning. This coincides with our football teams practice.
Girls will practice Monday through Thursday until August 6th. Once school begins, practices will go to 2 nights per week. The days and times for each squad will be determined by each squads coach.
Squad placement will be completed after the first 2 weeks of practice.
COACHES
As a 100% volunteer organization, we rely on special parents who can devote their time to the children in our program. Please consider coaching a cheer squad. There is NO experience required. You will be taught everything you need to know. The main responsibility will be pracitce during the week (which you can determine) and on Saturday game days, leading your girls as they cheer on our Viking players.
The more parents we have willing to help, the more cheerleading squads we can have.
