Uniforms – We are in the 2nd year of a 2 year uniform cycle. Make sure your players know to keep them in good condition through Spring – we do not have replacement items at this time until a new uniform program starts.

Make Game Card Labels (optional).  Every player’s name and number needs to be entered on a game card (U9 and above) at every game.  Preprinted labels greatly simplify this task.   Go to www.elcerritofc.com to download a template for game card labels.

Tips/Suggestions:

Recruiting Volunteers – DO THIS ASAP! You can set up your volunteer positions in the best way you see fit for your team.  Participation is MANDATORY unless a non-participation fee has been paid.  Don’t ask if they can help, ask which job they would like.  Let them know that job assignments are first come basis and any remaining jobs will be assigned to remaining families.

Communications - Email is an easy and effective way to communicate with families and cuts down the number of phone calls that need to be madeFor important communication send an email and initiate the phone tree. Parent

Behavior - Model positive play and appropriate sideline behavior.  There should be no yelling at players from the sidelines or groans at referee’s calls.  We want the kids to have fun, get exercise, learn skills, and good sportsmanship.
