TRYOUT DATES
ECFC tryouts are open to all players who wish to try and play competitive soccer for a team that will play either in Spring 2012 or Fall 2012. Even if you played on a comp team during Fall 2011 YOU MUST TRYOUT AGAIN before being selected for Spring play

Tryouts dates may be during your schools ski week or other holiday – there is nothing we can do about. ECFC teams have players from all of the different districts in the area and sadly we just cannot control when ski week or breaks are.
Tryout dates for U10 to U14 Boys and Girls EC FC Competitive teams:
U10 to U11 Boys and Girls Thursday Feb 9th and Friday Feb 10th – 5 to 7 at Gilman Turf
U12 to U14 Boys and Girls Thursday Feb 23 and Friday Feb 24th – 5 -7 at Gilman Turf
U15 and above (TBA) soon – the clubs are working on dates for these.

SPRING 2012 RECREATIONAL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN !!
ECFC is pleased to announce that the registration for the spring recreational soccer program is open. Here are the details:
RETURNING RECREATIONAL PLAYERS (for fees see below)
YOUR FALL TEAM IS COMING BACK
If your team is continuing in the spring please send a check to your coach or manager. No additional paperwork is required. All player passes and registration paperwork from the fall season remains valid. Your coach/manager will submit a roster of returning players who have paid to the club.
YOUR FALL TEAM IS NOT COMING BACK
If you are a returning player but your team is not reforming. Please send your check into the club. WRITE ON THE BACK of the check the player name, age group and fall team name. You will be placed onto a short list to be placed onto another team in the same age group. Places are on a first come first served basis so send in checks NOW. Send checks to ECFC, PO Box 566, El Cerrito CA 94530. If you have already made arrangements to join another returning team please submit your check and details to the new coach to be added to the roster.
NEW PLAYERS
Any new player wishing to join a team must go to the ECFC website and download the full set of registration forms (Handouts section). Registration forms from the Fall 2011/2012 season are still valid for Spring. Check age grid to ensure you are applying to join the correct age group. New players will also be placed on a waiting list to join returning teams. Get your application in NOW. Please follow the instructions and complete all the necessary paperwork. Sadly 70% of applications are not complete and if you get it wrong you may loose your place in the waiting list.
SPRING FEES
Due to increased field costs and other administrative cost we are adding $5 per player to the spring fees. These costs are still incredibly low for ten games and up to 12 weeks of practice. We hope you understand that we keep our costs to an absolute minimum by being a volunteer based club.

$ 130.00 El Cerrito Resident, $ 145.00 El Cerrito Non- resident

SEASON DETAILS
We expect the season to start on March 31st and end on June 9th. League games every weekend except Memorial weekend (traditionally ECFC Jamboree weekend so soccer for those teams that might want a tourney play). Due to field shortages we expect teams to be limited to one practice per week although we will try to accommodate a second session if possible. Practices will start approx mid March and time, location and day subject to coach/club agreement.
COMPETITIVE PLAYERS
Players will need to tryout before spring teams are formed. More information about tryouts and comp play for 2012 will be announced shortly. Please be patient as many changes are being worked through within competitive play that are beyond the club control. More soon we promise.
