Our cheerleaders placed first in the three age groups they competed in during the Mid-Maryland Cheer Competition at Cole Field House recently! Our 6-8, 8-10 and 10-12 squads all took home the top prize, while our 5-year-old group rocked the house! Patriots Team Plays in State Semifinals

Our 11-13 National team lost to Overlea in the semifinals of the state championships on Sunday. We congratulate the coaches and players for having such a stunning season in only the second year of National play. Many of these boys will go on to play high school football next year, and we wish them continued success in the sport. Meanwhile, enjoy these photos of the game...

Patriots Good Sports Award Winners Announced
Four members of the Ellicott City Patriots family were recognized by the Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks recently as part of its "Good Sports" program. Presented every year to coaches and players throughout the county who have displayed respect, positive leadership, team ethics, integrity, honor, civility and dedication, our 2011 award winners were: From our Cheerleading program, Cheerleader Christine Hitselberger and Coach Kim Thornton; and from our Football program, player Lewy Anania and Coach Jan Stolarik. These Patriots embody the essence of sportsmanship and are outstanding representatives of the Ellicott City Patriots in our community. Congratulation to our winners!
