Wildcat Swimming & Diving: My Site News: High School Diving Program - Important message from Coach Becky

Greeting CHS, ECHHS, CHHS, Cedar Ridge and NCSMS Divers!

   You all will be diving together this year! (See times below).  I am preparing for our regular season high school season which will start with an organizational meeting on Monday, November 2nd at Koury Natatorium at 5:30pm. We will meet at the pool entrance in the hallway there. As you know we are limited on our numbers this year because of limited practice times. However if you know of someone that has experience,  then they can come try out for the first two weeks. I however do not want a ton of people coming out to try it.. only if they have experience. I do not want our first two weeks of practice to be too hectic.

CHHS

This is about 17 divers because some of you dive NCAC or at Duke, but you are always welcome to join your team for a practice if you can or want to!

**Your Practice times will be

       Wednesdays 7:30pm- 9pm (maybe can stay a little later)

       Fridays 6:30-8pm

     The other group, primarily the Durham and smaller schools will be diving on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30-8pm but they will have a large number of divers  too. If you have a conflict with your scheduled practice time we can look at how to accommodate your schedule at the orientation meeting

**Costs: If you were not in preseason, I will need:

    40$ pool rental/use fee for the three months

    20$ liability insurance cost to sign up.I will do that for you

    For schools that do not contract for the diving coaches, then there will be a coaches fee as well, but I am still working that out because I have not heard back from any schools on who will actually be supporting a dive coach. So that is something that I will need to tell you at the meeting, or in a forthcoming email.   

**Physicals: please have your physicals (and any other needed papers ) turned in to the school before November 1st .They are very strict about this and you will not be able to practice if it is not turned in.
