East Sports ItemsShow your physical and financial support not only for East Chapel Hill athletics but for the entire East community.  In addition to attending games, please consider volunteering your time: Please indicate on the membership form your areas of interest! Please feel free to join us at any of our monthly meetings. We normally meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the Media Center. The more parents that join and become involved, the better we can meet the needs of our student athletes!

The East Chapel Hill Wildcats Booster Club raises money to fulfill requests for funds from East teams, coaches and the athletic director. Booster Club also works to promote and support school spirit and involvement among all students, staff and the community, plays a significant role in concessions, Homecoming and other events, and supports all East teams. 

During the 2011-2012 school year, the Booster Club provided $44,818.24 in total support for the East athletic community! Some of the projects that the Booster Club recently helped fund include:

  • Electronic touch board timers for pool
  • Stadium pressbox refurbishment
  • New refrigerator and icemaker repair at baseball/softball fields
  • HUDL software for use by all sports teams
  • New weight room equipment (available to all students)
  • Uniforms for men’s and women’s varsity and JV basketball teams
  • Uniforms for women’s soccer and lacrosse teams
  • Helmets and shoulder pads for football team
  • Cheerleading welcome baskets
  • New shotput gravel area
  • Baseball dugout protection fence
  • New cage area at softball field
  • Storage shed for track & field and concessions
  • New lacrosse practice nets

Other recent grants have provided for refinishing of gym floors, maintenance and repair of tennis courts and practice and playing fields throughout the campus, and the purchase of a variety of practice and safety equipment for all teams.
