The JJ Vance Foundation
The JJ Vance Foundation was established in 1998 to celebrate the life and legacy of Jeffery Joseph Vance,
an outstanding student-athlete at East Chapel Hill High School.
|

|
Dr. Caroline Laundon, the mother of three sons who attend or attended ECHHS, a frequent guest lecturer in ECHHS biology classes, where she shared her love of genetics, and a friend and mentor to many, passed away on October 20, 2005. In her honor, her family and friends have created the Caroline Laundon Memorial Fund at Triangle Community Foundation, which will provide a scholarship to a graduating East Chapel Hill athlete. Caroline was an avid supporter of the ECHHS baseball, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, cross country, and other sports teams.

The Triangle Educational Advancement Foundation is a 501(c)3 volunteer organization that conducts the Eurosport Spring Soccer Showcase for girls in April, the ABC 11 Pigskin Preview at Carter-Finley Stadium in August, the Eurosport Fall Soccer Showcase for boys in September, and the GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational Basketball Tournament at Reynolds Coliseum in December.
Over the past eight years the Foundation has distributed over $400,000 in scholarships to each of the 28 public high school in the Triangle area.
