Welcome to EBYA Girls Softball!
EBYA Girls Softball is open to all girls ages 5 to 18. Younger players must be 5 years old by January 1, 2009. Older players must still be 18 years old on January 1, 2009.
EBYA Girls Softball participates in the Brandywine Valley Girls Softball League (BVGSL) along with teams from East Fallowfield, Glenmoore, Morgantown, Lionville, and West Chester. BVGSL follows Amateur Softball Association (ASA) rules and guidelines, with minor variations for the younger divisions.

Registration for Spring 2010 EBYA Softball Now Open
Yes, it's that time of year again, time to register for the Spring 2010 EBYA Softball season. We look forward to another great season of softball in 2010!
There are a few changes in the registration process this season:
- Registration will be done by mail or at one of our walk-in registrations. There is no online registration this year.
- Mail in registration: Download the Registration Form, complete the form, and mail it to the address on the form with a check or money order made payable to EBYA.
- Walk-in registration: There will be 2 walk-in registrations at the East Brandywine Township Building, one on Saturday January 9, 2010 9AM-11AM and the other on Saturday January 23, 2010 9AM-11AM. Save time and download the Registration Form, complete the form, and bring it with you. We encourage everyone to come out and meet EBYA League officials, representatives, coaches, and parents.
- In lieu of fundraising projects this year, each EBYA family will be charged a $25 fee to help maintain our fields.
- All registration forms received after January 31, 2010 must include a $20/player late fee.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the backbone of our league. A lot of work goes into providing the quality programs we offer, and we count on volunteers to make it all happen. Please volunteer for one or more of the committees below by contacting anyone on the Baseball/Softball Commission or emailing us at ebyainc@comcast.net.
Events Committee
- Plans, coordinates, and prepares Opening Day, Home Run Derby, and the Coaches Softball Game.
- Ensures that all necessary staff, equipment, food, and props are available at each event.
- Advertises all events in newspapers and businesses.
Field Maintenance Committee
- Schedules and performs prep work at all EBYA fields.
- Maintains all fields throughout the season.
- Erects/dismantles home run fences.
Practice and Game Committee
- Schedules practices and games at all EBYA fields for all divisions.
- Contacts and schedules games with neighboring leagues like SCCML.
- Postpones games when conditions are unfavorable.
- Reschedules all postponed games.
- Registers teams for tournaments.
Registration Committee
- Creates registration forms and mails them to all players.
- Delivers registration forms to local schools.
- Schedules and mans in-person registration (Jan 23 and 24).
Snack Bar Committee
- Coordinates daily opening/closing of snack bars.
- Orders, stocks, and maintains snack bar inventory.
- Schedules parents to work in snack bars.
Sponsorship Committee
- Coordinates all fund raising activities.
- Recruits year-round, team, and banner sponsors.
- Collects fees from sponsors.
- Orders banners from supplier.
- Hangs banners on fields prior to Opening Day.
Team Moms
- Team Moms help the coach administer their child's team.
- Point of contact for all team information.
- Coordinates snack bar coverage with the Snack Bar committee.
- Schedules post-game snacks.
- Hands out all schedules, flyers, instructional material.

EBYA is now accepting sponsorships for the 2010 Spring Baseball and Softball seasons. Click on the Handout below to download the sponsorship form. All sponsorship options are described on the form, so simply fill it out and mail it to the address at the bottom of the form.
