Elba Baseball & Softball Association: Welcome
Attention!! Elba Little League "sign - ups" will occur on February 4th and 11th from 9am to 1pm. Location has changed this year. This year, registration will be held at the American Legion Hall located at 1701 West Genesee Street, East of the Big Lots Plaza. Like last year, there will also be 2 late sign ups held at the MC Sports located in the Kohls plaza. Those dates will be February 25th, and March 3rd from 10am to 12pm.
Happy 2012!! It's time to think baseball again. EBSA will have its annual registration dates earlier than usual this year. This is to accomodate the growing number of ball players playing at our facilities. We have had 500+ players for the last 2 years. More players means more uniforms, more trophies etc. With the limited help we have, getting everything organized and done on - time becomes increasingly difficult. Elba is and always has been an association run strictly by volunteers. All money generated throughout the season is put back into our complex and/or equipment. Our uniforms, facilities, and equipment reflect this fact.
Please look for our flier that will be sent home with each school student in the coming weeks. Parents should see this flier around the end of January. Announcements will also be printed in the county wide newspapers.
When the season arrives, please remember that our road, (Killiam Drive) is a private road, not maintained by Lapeer, but the residents. There are kids on the street and people trying to live while we are enjoying our season. Please remember to drive slow and not block the road with parking. Car pooling with friends and/or family members is encouraged to help avoid parking issues. As a courtesy to all residents, parking is prohibited on the road.
Our complex is a smoke free facility, smoking is permitted outside the fences only.
No pets are allowed within the complex. Fans will be asked to remove the pet from the complex if a pet is brought into the facility.
Please be sure to check out our sponsor page and try to shop with them. When you stop in be sure to thank them for their support of our kids. Some of them don't even have kids that play ~ they're just simply helping us out!
A lot of work goes on at our complex that goes unseen and under appreciated. Many volunteers make playing at our facility possible. A special thanks to Lee Yorton for grooming the fields. They looked great in 2011. Especially given the wet weather we had. Also a special thank you to Jean Yorton for heading up our concessions operations. Your efforts were greatly appreciated from all the board members.
