Tipp City Dual Meet  12/1/04
The Eagles opened their season with a win against Tipp City.  Bonus points made the difference in this meet as the eagles scored 5 pins, 1 technical fall and 1 decision to Tipps 4 pins and 3 decisions.  Congratulations to the Eagles opening with a win in the new gym.

Xenia Invitational  12/4/04
The Eagles had their first tournament experience for the 2004-2005 season.  They finished a respectable 5th, moving up from last years 9th place finish.  The Eagles had four place winners and all four return for next year.  We had 3 Juniors place 4th.  Andrew Bulach at 119, Michael Morelli at 152 and Branden Williams at 275.  Freshman, Tim Silvers finished 3rd at 112.

Tri-Meet w/ Greenville and Northwestern  12/11/04
The Eagles defeated Northwestern, 53-20.  Pins were scored by Branden Williams at 275, Tim Bowen at 215, Michael Morelli at 152, Wade Guthrie at 145, Dylan Tehrani at 135 and Allen Bulach at 103.  Tim Silvers won by Major Decision at 112.  Regular Decisions were scored at 125 and 130 by seniors Andy Tintsman and Michael Eyler.

The Eagles lost a close match to Greenville, 36-38.  Scoring Pins were Tim Silvers at 112, Michael Morelli at 152 and Branden Williams at 275.  Michael Eyler scored a Technical Fall 19-2 at 130.  Wade Guthrie scored a Major Decision 13-2 at 145.  Dylan Tehrani won a Regular Decision at 135 and Ty McGuire received a Forfeit at 160.

CJ Dual  12/18/04
The Eagles traveled to Chamanade Julian for a dual meet but ended up with a Tri-Meet with Stebbins.  The Eagles switched some weights in anticipation of the CJ Dual and it cost them against Stebbins.  The Eagles defeated CJ, 39-38.  They scored Pins at 119 with Tim Silvers, 140 with Dylan Tehrani, 145 with Wade Guthrie, 152 with Bobby Clark, and Tim Bowen at 215.  They lost to Stebbins, 35-38.  Winning by Pins were Scott Bulach at 125, Andy Tintsman at 130, Michael Eyler 135, Wade Guthrie at 145 and Technical Fall Tim Silvers at 119.

GMVWA Holiday Tournament  12/28-29/04
The Eagles stepped up their level of competition by competing in the GMVWA Holiday Tournament.  Many valuable lessons were learned and you can expect them to grow from the experience.  Placing for the Eagles were Senior 125, Andy Tintsman 8th and Freshman 112, Tim Silvers 7th.

Preble County Dual Tournament  1/8/05
The Eagles traveled to Lewisburg for the Preble County Dual Tournament.  They opened the day with a win against Tri-County North, 47-26.  They then defeated Preble Shawnee 46-27.  The J.V.'s went 4-2 again Preble Shawnee's J.V. team and beat Tri Village South, 61-6.  Varsity wrestlers who went 2-3 were, 112-Tim Silvers with a 19-2 Tech Fall and a 2:44 pin, Scott Bulach at 126 with a 13-7 and 11-2 decision, 130 Michael Eyler with a pin at 3:49 and a 10-4 decision, Andy Dafler at 140 with a forfeit and a 3:54 pin, 160 Matt Moul with 2 pinds at 1:45 and 2:20, and Tim Bowen with a forfeit and a pin in 2:14 at 215.

Springboro Duals Tournament  1/15/05
The Eagles traveled to Springboro for their dual meet tournament.  Due to injury and illness, the Eagles started every match 12 points down.  The Eagles lost in the first round to #1 seeded New Albany 33-44.  They started off fast with four pins.  103 Cole Schaaf in 3:34, 112 Tim Silvers in 2:32, 119 Brad Newkirk in 4:11 and Andy Tinstman at 125 in 1:41.  Their last two wins were a decision at 145 Wade Gutrie 5-2 and a pin at 152 Mike Morelli in 2:17.  In the second round the Eagles faced 3rd seeded Lebanon.  Winning 46-22.  The Eagles got on a roll starting at 112 Tim Silvers winning 11-4, 119 Brad Newkirk a pin in 3:12, 125 Andy Tintsman a pin in 3:46, 130 Michael Eyler a pin in 3:37, 135 Dylan Tehrani winning 13-0, Andy Dafler a pin at 140 in 3:41, 145 Wade Guthrie winning 10-3, 152 Michael Morelli a pin in :29 and Bill Current a forfeit at 189.  In the 3rd round, the Eagles lost a close match 33-36 to Springboro.  Winning for the Eagles were Cole Schaaf 103 with a pin in 2:52, Tim Silvers 112 8-2, Andy Tintsman 125 21-7, 135 Dylan Tehrani won 14-3, 152 Michael Morelli won 10-3, 189 Bill Current won by fall in 5:18 and Tim Bowen at 215 pinned in :38.  In the 4th round, the Eagles defeated Wayne 46-31.  Scoreing wins for the Eales were at 112 Tim Silvers by a Tech Fall 15-0, 119 Brad Newkirk by a pin in 3:42, 125 Andy Tinstman by a pin in 3:28, 135 Dylan Tehrani by a pin in :58, 140 Andy Dafler by a Tech Fall 23-8, 145 Wade Guthrie picked up a forfeit, 189 Bill Current by a pin in 3:36 and 215 Tim Bowen by a pin in 2:47.  The final round, the Eagles defeated West Carrollton 39-34.  Winning for the Eagles were 112 Tim Silvers with a pin in 2:52, 125 Andy Tintsman with a pin in 2:39, 135 Dylan Tehrani with a pin in 2:26, 140 Andy Dafler 13-5, 152 Michael Morelli with a Tech Fall 23-7, 189 Bill Current with a pin in 2:52.  A Eagles gave a great team effort and they continue to build to the end of the season.

Wayne Invitational  1/28 & 29/05
This was a great weekend for the Eaton Eagles Wrestling program.  The varsity traveled to Huber Heights to wrestle in the Wayne Invitational.  They finished 5th out of 27 teams.  Northmont was 1st, Ben Logan 2nd, Hilliard Darby 3rd and Troy 4th.  The Eagles corrected many mistakes from the last week and had 8 place winners.  Finishing second for Eaton were freshman Tim Silvers at 112 and Bobby Clark at 140, sophomore Wade Guthrie at 145 and junior Michael Morelli at 152.  Finishing third were seniors Andy Tintsman at 125 and Dylan Tehrani at 135.  Sixth place winners were sophmore Brad Newkirk at 119 and senior Michael Eyler at 130.  This was a great team effort.  The first round, the Eagles won 12 of 13 matches to get off to a great start.  They travel to New Lebanon on Saturday, February 5th, to complete in the SWBL Championships.  Wrestling starts at 10:00 and the finals will be at 5:00.
