| I grew up playing eastwood little league in Syracuse NY, i now am looking foward to my 5 year old adopted son from Guatamala to start t ball this year,he his and throws very well, he needs some work on the glove |

| My father, Arnold Ames, was one of the original founders of the Eastwood Litttle League along with several other fathers and businessmen that lived and worked in Eastwood. I did not play the first year but played the second two years of the league's existence as an eleven and twelve year old. We played at Nichols park (I'm not sure if it still exists) and the bulk of our twelve year old all-star team went on to play at Eastwood High School and we won the first all-city championship between the parochial league and the public school league (in 1959). The efforts of many parents made this one of the most enjoyable experiences I had playing baseball. I wish all the young ballplayers and their adult leaders only the best. Thanks for keeping baseball a wonderful sport!! |
