 The ESLL Mission Statement.

ESLL is an organization of volunteers committed in service to our community’s youth. Our purpose is to provide a safe and healthy environment for children to develop qualities of discipline, team work, and sportsmanship while instilling virtues of character, courage, and loyalty so they will grow to be good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens.

Through positive role modeling, ESLL will provide an outlet of activity while building the confidence of each participant. Our youth will gain baseball skills and be competitive while having fun. Our goal is to develop and enrich the lives of our youth through their Little League experience.

The 2012 season is finally under way with the opening day parade on Saturday 4/15/2012.

Many families and supporters came out to watch the parade.  It is a joy to view the boys and girls march down on Ewing Ave all happy and giddy while bursting to get on to the baseball field and raring to play ball.

With 33 teams and well over 400 children registered on our league, age ranges from 4 to 18 year olds.

Many thanks to the State and local elected officials and the other dignitaries who took part on opening ceremonies.

Unfortunately, the one face that was missing was that of Father Paul Cullen who has blessed us with his presence for the opening prayer for many years.

The ESLL mourns his passing on February 10th, 2012 and may Lord shine upon

his soul.

We will hold you in our prayers and never forget you.

Congratulations to Gary Starcevich and Joe Terrazas for being honored and receiving recognition for the many years of service to the league and the children of the community.

Gary has been a coach, board member, and umpire since 1998.

Joe or as the children call him (old man Joe) as umpire and volunteer for many many years.

Congratulations to Dan DeLa Garza our league President on his new appointment by Little League as the new DA for District 7.

  Our League Needs You!
The East Side Little League is completely volunteer run.  Our league depends on everyone's efforts to keep things running smoothly.  From umpiring, to field
preparation, coaching, score-keeping, cooking, and cleaning up, our league
depends on volunteers.  Who are the volunteers?  You are.  Admission is never
charged to any of the games, but your donation of time is essential to make sure all of our players receive the best possible playing and learning experience.

 How can you help?
  • Before, during, and after every game, make sure the area in and around the stands is kept clean.
  • Pick up any trash, and when necessary empty out the trash cans at the dumpster.
  • Supervise your children and any others in your care.  Do not let them go to the bathroom alone.
  • Be aware of the state of the facilities.
  • If you notice something damaged or broken please bring it to the attention of one of the board, members, coaches, umpires, or concession stand workers.
  • If you spot anyone damaging the facilities or creating a mess, likewise please bring it to the attention of one of the board members, coaches, umpires, or concession stand workers.

This is the house where your children play.  Together we can make it a pleasant and lasting memory.

 Get involved!!
