Good pitching and good hitting are hard to beat. Northampton got a 2 hit shut-out from Alex MacLean and added 3 HR's to end the Rovers 3 game winning streak. The Rovers fell behind quickly when Northampton's Alesha Marcks hit a 1-1 pitch out of the Park for a 3 run homerun. Northampton added 2 more HR's and built a 7-0 lead. Northampton's pitcher, Alex MacLean took a perfect game into the fifth inning. Rachelle Youngkin ended the no hit bid when she singled off MacLean for the Rovers first hit. Morgan Neel added an infield single for the Rovers other hit in the seventh inning. This is the first time the Rovers have been shut-out this season. The Rovers travel to Patriots Park Saturday to face Parkland in a non-LVIAC game at 7:00.
