Back to Back Wins, Rovers Go 8 Again
The Rovers needed 8 innings again to top Emmaus 9-8. Sierra Stout (9) entered the game in the fourth and picked up her first career win in relief of Amber Dalrymple (9). It was the Rovers 17 hit attack and error free defense that took the day. Sara Rasley (10), Lauren Briskie (12) & Hannah Thomas (11) all had 3 hits. Marissa Csovelak (12) picked up 2 hits and 3 RBI. The Rovers got started in the first when Morgan Neel (11) tripled in Marissa Ruggiero (12) and Sara Rasley's sac fly plated Neel for a 2-0 lead. The Rovers lost the lead in the fourth inning but were able to tie the game in the sixth on an RBI single by Csovelak. The Rovers opened the eighth with a homerun by Sara Rasley and RBI singles by Meghan Brown (11) and Hannah Thomas had the Rovers up by 3 runs. The Rovers were able to hold on and give Sierra Stout her first win when centerfielder, Audra Heilman (10) nailed the possible tieing run at the plate.
