Easton Little League: Welcome

Welcome to the home of Easton Little League, located in Talbot County, Maryland

Welcome to Easton Little League

(Updated March 1, 8:10 a.m.) Please be advised that, due to the very high probability of a wintry mix this afternoon, the Easton Little League has cancelled today's AAA and Little League Boys' player assessments.  Final makeup plans are still coming together but, in all probability, we will conduct player assessments on both Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8  at North Easton Park.  We will post all of the necessary information on next weekend's player assessments on this page, as well as our League's official Facebook site, as they become available.  Thank you for your understanding and patience as we await the end of this long winter!

Thanks for your support!

The entire Easton Little League Board of Directors extends a heartfelt thank you to its generous community sponsors. This support allows us to invest in the player uniforms, equipment and game materials that are essential to a safe, enjoyable ballpark experience for our kids.  Contributions from our community partners help us maintain an affordable fee structure for our families while ensuring that no child is ever turned away for financial reasons.  Their support serves as yet another reminder of what makes this community so special. If you have not yet registered your player or players for Easton Little League's 2015 season, don't panic -- there's still time!  Simply go to the "Handouts" section on this website, download our player registration and medical release forms, and mail them, along with proper payment, to Easton Little League, P.O. Box 1655, Easton, MD 21601. In addition to completing the player registration forms, our new players will also be asked to provide a birth certificate in order to verify age, as well as three proofs of residency, such as a driver's license, a utility or cable bill, or a vehicle registration.

As a reminder, registrations for our T-Ball, AA and 6-8 year-old softball divisions are $50, while our AAA, Little League, Junior and Senior League programs cost $75.  Checks are payable to Easton Little League. You will also need to include a late penalty of $25 per player.

Please make note of two important, recent developments.  First is the fact that, once again, players who reside outside of Easton Little League's official boundaries will be able to play in Easton Little League if they attend school within our boundaries.  To verify enrollment, players will need to complete and submit an official school enrollment form - one that is also signed by that school's principal, vice-principal or other appropriate administrator - confirming that they were enrolled in the school prior to October 1, 2014.

Second is a more recent decision by Little League International to change the age calculation date for all baseball players born after January 1, 2006.  Effective immediately, all baseball players born after January 1, 2006 shall base their "league age" for the upcoming season - which is used to determine eligibility for the League and specific divisions - on their age as of December 31 of that year, as opposed to April 30.  Meaning, for example, that players who were born in July 2006 and, under the old system, would have been "league age 8" will now be considered "league age 9."  Please note that players that were born prior to January 1, 2006 will continue to use the April 30 age determination date for the remainder of their Little League careers.

Should you have any questions or need additional information about this rule change, please contact League President Len Foxwell at lenfoxwell@gmail.com, or Player Agent Lauren Halterman at lhalterman@chesapeake.edu.

Thank you for your participation and support of Easton Little League.  Look forward to seeing you at the ballpark!
