Gameday Field Status for EBL Fields

All games are ON as scheduled.

Managers: See IMPORTANT Notice in Coaches Corner regarding scheduling.

Game at McMinn? Check website for update on their fields:  www.eteamz.com/mcminnbaseballleague

Managers will get a GO/NO-GO from the EBL grounds crew and may get contacted by a board member if a game is cancelled.   Assume all games are ON unless you are told otherwise by your manager.  With the recent weather, some GO/NO-GO decisions may happen as late as 30 minutes before game start, depending on weather radar, current field conditions, and its ability to hold and drain water.  In this case, game start may be delayed until both teams are assembled snd ready to play.

EBL Mighty Mites Win Willoughby Tournament

EBL MM Willoughby Tournament Champs
2009 Eastlake Blue Tournament Team

The Eastlake Baseball League would like to congratulate the Eastlake Blue 8U All Star team for their WIlloughby All Star Classic Tournament victory! They went 4 - 0 on their way to the championship. They beat a tough host Willoughby team Friday night 4 - 3. Then Saturday morning they defeated Aurora 3 - 1. This made them the #1 tournament seed and gave them a bye into the semi - finals.

Sunday morning they beat Lyndhurst, who 2 weeks knocked them off in the championship game in our Eastlake tournament 2 - 0. Then the rematch with Aurora Sunday afternoon was an instant classic. Aurora got off to the early lead and held it until the bottom of the 5th inning when Eastlake took the lead. Top of the 6th inning Aurora regained the lead on a controversial call. Eastlake who never lost their composer came back in the bottom of the 6th inning and won 6 - 5.

Congratulations to our 8U Eastlake Blue Tournament Team

This was the main hightlight for Eastlake Baseball, but not the only one. Our Minor, Major and Junior teams all represented Eastlake well throughout the tournament. We as a league should be proud of the effort put in by all of our players.
