Varsity 

Head Varsity Coach – Marc Wilson
Wilson is a life-long Seattle resident, playing soccer at Nathan Hale High School and Shoreline Community College before graduating from San Diego State University, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance in 1992.

He began his coaching career as part of the Lake Washington High School men’s program before joining Trinity Lutheran College as an assistant coach and Director of Recruiting and Fundraising in 2012. Wilson helped lead the Eagles to two consecutive Regional Western Semi-Final appearances and a year- end Top 20 finish during the 2012 season.

Most recently, Wilson spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach of the Bear Creek High School Lady Grizzlies, helping lead the team to a combined 28-6-3 record and a 2013 State Finals appearance.

Wilson is employed in the real estate development industry. He lives in Kirkland with wife Jennifer and two boys, Ty and Trevor, ages 11 and 8, respectively.

Marc is thrilled about joining the Eastlake High School women’s soccer program, and is looking forward to re-establishing Eastlake’s storied traditions and successful soccer program, both on and off the pitch.

Asst. Varsity Coach & Goalkeeper Coach– Rod Smith
Rod Smith is in his seventh season coaching high school soccer and his first with the Eastlake Women’s Soccer Program. He spent his first two seasons as the Lake Washington HS Boys JVC head coach, seasons three and four as the JV head coach, assisted with the Varsity team in his fifth year, and is currently in his second season leading the Lake Washington Boys program as the Varsity head coach. He has also spent the last five fall seasons coaching JV and assisting Varsity girls soccer at Bothell High School.

Rod grew up in the Redmond/Kirkland area and graduated from Lake Washington High School where he was a four-year Varsity letterman, earning Honorable Mention and 2nd Team All-Kingco honors. He was part of a Premier team that won a State Championship and he played in the Olympic Development Program at the District level. He began his Premier career as a goalkeeper, transitioned to center midfield and eventually found himself up top, playing striker. He currently plays a few times a week in various Seattle area adult leagues.

Rod worked for the Athletic Department while attending Gonzaga University and currently works at the University of Washington in the Department of Recreational Sports Programs. He lives in Shoreline with his wife, Jessica.

Asst. Varsity Coach – Zac Hammond
Zachary Hammond is in his first year with the Eastlake Women’s Soccer program. Zach has spent the last two years coaching men’s soccer at Lake Washington High School and Women’s Soccer at Bothell High School.

Zack grew up in the Redmond/Kirkland area, playing for Crossfire Premier from ages 10-18. He attended Lake Washington High School, where he was a four-year varsity letterman for the Kangs. During his four years, he earned honorable mention, 2nd Team All-Kingco, and 1st Team All-Kingco. After high school he attended Humboldt State University and started all four years for the men's soccer team. He was 2nd Team All-CCAA (California Collegiate Athletic Association) his junior year, and 1st Team All-CCAA, 1st Team All-West Region and 3rd Team All-West Region while leading the CCAA in goals and points his senior year.

In both high school and college, Zack's was voted runner-up for conference player of the year in his senior season. He was also entered into the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, one of 250+ players pooled from every college and university in the country, along with a select group of international players.  

Asst. Varsity Coach – Lindsay Elston
Lindsay is in her first year as an assistant coach with her alma mater, the Eastlake High School, Lady Wolves.
Lindsay attended Eastlake High School where she became the Gatorade State Player of the Year, First Team All-State, KingCo 4 A Player of the Year and Seattle Times All-Area her senior year. She was senior co-captain and awarded team MVP in 2010 where she scored and assisted in the state championship when Eastlake won the title.

Played Crossfire Premier for 7 years, two of those years were in the Crossfire ECNL Program.

Played ODP and for the Seattle Sounders Women in the W-League from 2011-13.

Elston was invited to numerous National Team camps for the under 18's and 20's and she was selected to represent the US in two international tournaments in La Manga, Spain.

A four year starter at the University of Washington, Lindsay finished in the top ten all-time book in goals, assists and points at Washington. In 2013, Elston was co-captain and played in all 20 matches while leading the team in assists with five.
In Lindsay's junior season she was NSCAA All-Pacific Region Second Team, All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention and UW Player of the Year and Offensive MVP when she led the team in goals (11) and assists (5).

In 2014 Lindsay signed with the Houston Dash of the NWSL and appeared in 3 games (1start) before having to sit out with an ankle injury. Elston then signed a contract to go to Europe where she is playing for FC Metz of the France first division.     

Asst. Varsity Coach – Allie Jackstadt

Honorary Alumni Coach - Riley Brown
Riley Brown is an Eastlake alum, graduating from EHS in 2013. As a member of the Eastlake Women’s Soccer Program, Riley is our Honorary Alumni Coach. She currently attends University of Arizona and is majoring in Broadcast Journalism, focusing on Sports Media. Riley was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma earlier this year and is currently undergoing treatment. She is doing well and remains incredibly strong; the Eastlake community wants to show support and love, and is proud to have Riley as part of the team.

 


JV

Head JV Coach – Jordyn Wilson

Jordyn enters her third season as part of the Eastlake Women’s Soccer Program. She has served the last two years as the JV head coach and Varsity assistant and will again be leading the JV program and assisting with the Varsity team.

Jordyn is a former standout player with Mt. Si High School and a 2013 graduate of Northwest University with a degree in secondary education and an endorsement in Biology. She also played on the women's soccer team all four years at Northwest. She is now teaching high school Anatomy and Health in South Seattle. She also coaches two club teams for Cascade FC. Jordyn is very excited about the opportunity to coach an amazing and talented group of young ladies! She is passionate about the sport of soccer and says that is so much more than a game, as it had molded her into who she is today. She is looking forward to continue with the lady wolves and make this the most memorable and successful season yet!

Head JVC Coach – Kara Popp

 


 

Strength & Conditioning Coach – Dirk Huebner
Eastlake Strength & Conditioning Coach, Dirk Huebner, has provided elite performance training for 20 years to a variety of athletes. Coach Huebner has a BS degree in Exercise Science and is a National Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach. He has been coaching at Eastlake High School since 2005. Currently, he is the head strength coach for 8 EHS teams. This is his first year working with the Eastlake Women’s Soccer Program. He and his wife Sara live in Duvall with their three kids Jaydan, London, and Camden.

Strength & Conditioning Coach – Patrick Gallagher
Coach Gallagher is in his first year working with the Eastlake High School Women’s Soccer Program. Coach Gallagher developed a passion for Strength and Conditioning after playing Football and Running Track at Eastlake High School (Class of '09) and has previously coached and assisted with the strength and conditioning programs for the EHS Football, Basketball, Lacrosse and Track teams.

After graduating from the University of Washington, Patrick accepted jobs as Director of New Members Fitness Sales and Marketing as well as a Personal Trainer at the Pine Lake Club here in Sammamish. Coach Gallagher currently holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as a general personal training certification (CPT) from the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Outside of coaching, Patrick enjoys going to country music concerts and watching his brother, Michael Gallagher play soccer at the University of Washington. GO DAWGS!

Strength & Conditioning Coach – Cameron Hunt
Cameron Hunt, an Eastlake alum, and three year Varsity starter on the football team is in his first year working with the Eastlake Women’s Soccer Program. He holds the most career rushing yards record at Eastlake and later received a full ride scholarship to Illinois State University, and University Of Montana. At Illinois State, Hunt was a four year starter at running back and a four year letter recipient. As a freshman, Hunt received the Hammer Award for hardest hitter on the team, and was on athletic honor roll multiple times throughout his career.
