AIR FORCE FALCONS- 2007 GLYFL "B" DIVISION CHAMPIONS
The Air Force Falcons of the Eastlake Youth Football League had it in their sights since the first day of practice back in July. Their goal was a championship. With many returning starters and some key additions to the roster, the Falcons completed their mission with a 14-0 win over the Mayfield Blue Cats in the 4th annual Great Lakes Youth Football League "B" division championship game. The game was a scoreless battle for more than three and a half quarters until the Falcon’s Josh Pechatsko ran over and around the Mayfield defense in route to the games first score and a 7-0 lead with less than four minutes remaining. On Mayfield’s next possession, the leagues best defense came up big again. A ferocious hit by Josh Pechatsko knocked the ball free and Anthony Kornokovich recovered to give possession back to the Falcons at midfield. Once again, head coach Greg Wilson called on his workhorse, who plowed his way through the Blue Cat defense for another touchdown to seal the victory and a second straight “B” division championship for the Eastlake Youth Football League. The Falcons complete their season of dreams with a perfect 9-0 record. Their 207 points scored and 37 points allowed were both tops in the league. The Falcons are: Tyler Marcum, Carlo Marcellino, David Morgan, Zane Bunnell, David Whittington, Mike Valletto, Josh Pechatsko, Brandon Robinson, Dominic Kinney, Paul Harris, Anthony Kornokovich, Alexx Pescho, Austin Kidwell, Kenny Uzarevic, Jake Wilson, Logan Shreves, Brian Betarie, Josh Kravchuck, Dillon Rohm, Christian Miller, head coach Greg Wilson, assistant coaches Bob Mandato, Andy Petchatsko, Mark Lavalais, Kevin Marcum, and Jim Kravchuck.
