Eastlake Little League: Scorekeeping

How to Add Scores (after you have access)

If you have not yet requested access to add/update scores for your team, please skip this section and proceed to the section below on requesting access before attempting to update scores.

Once you have access to add or update scores for your team, follow the steps below. Note that the Home Team is responsible for adding the official score.

  1. Go to your team's home page (click Teams from the left-hand menu, and then click your team name under the appropriate division).
  2. Click Admin in the upper-right corner.
  3. Login to the site, and go to your team's Admin page.
  4. From your team's Admin screen, click Schedules and then Scores from the left-hand menu.
  5. Find the game you want to update (notice the Pre-Season and Regular Season tabs), and click the Edit icon (looks like a pencil) next to the game you want to update.
  6. Add the score and click Update Game.

How to Request Access to Add Scores

Before you can add or update scores to your team site, you must first request access to do so.  This is because several managers have existing eteamz accounts (that we don't know about), and it creates confusion if we were to create new, duplicate eteamz accounts.

Each team should designate at least one authorized user to add scores to the system. This is typically the manager and/or the team's scorekeeper.

If you already have an existing eteamz account (i.e., from another sport for from a prior year), please send an e-mail to communications [at] eastlakell.org requesting that your existing eteamz account be added to the ELL site and be given permission to add scores for your team.  Please provide (1) the e-mail address that is associated with your eteamz account and (2) your division/team (e.g., AAA Braves).  ELL will then add your account to the ELL site and make it an admin for your team page.

If you do not have an existing eteamz account, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your team's home page (click Teams from the left-hand menu, and then click your team name under the appropriate division).
  2. Click Admin in the upper-right corner (from your team's page, not from the main ELL page).
  3. Follow the instructions for creating a new account.
  4. When you get to the form for requesting that your username be added to the Eastlake Little League site, please include your team name and program name in the comments (e.g., AAA Braves) along with your role on the team (e.g., Team Scorekeeper). This will instruct us to also grant you admin access to your team site.
  5. If you did not get presented with the form mentioned in step 4, then please send an e-mail to communications [at] eastlakell.org requesting that your account get added to the ELL site.  Please include (1) the e-mail address associated with your eteamz account and (2) the division/team (e.g., AAA Braves) for which you need admin access.
If you are not sure whether or not you have an existing eteamz account, follow the steps for creating a new account. If the system then tells you that you already have an account, follow the instructions above for existing accounts (sending an e-mail to communications [at] eastlakell.org with your access request).

Scorekeeping and Pitch Counts

The team's scorekeeper is responsible for both the scorekeeping and keeping track of the pitch count (team managers are ultimately responsible for tracking and enforcing the pitch count).

ELL Scoresheets and Pitch Count forms were handed out to Team Managers at the recent Manager Meeting, and extra copies have been stocked in the sheds.

Unfortunately, we do not currently have an electronic version of the scoresheet, but we are looking into getting this and making it available for download.

The Pitch Count form is available electronically and can be downloaded here.

Home Team Scorekeepers are also responsible for entering regular season game results (and optionally pre-season game results) into this web site.
