Minor Girls are District Champions - On to STATE!

Congratulations girls!!

The State Tournament will be hosted by District 13 in Spokane.

Game #1: Saturday July 18  Lost 6-12 against Everett.

Game #2: Won 22-11

Game #3: Monday @ 12:00 PM - we will have to play every day (and win) this week to make it to the championship game on the 25th.

Game #1: Lost 13-2 against Gig Harbor American

Game #2: Lost 0-5 against South Kitsap Eastern

The major boys lost a tough battle against South Kitsap Eastern losing 5 to 0.  The boys left Eastern scoreless 4 out of 6 innings but were unable to get their bats going leaving EJ scoreless.

Game #1: Won 36-8 against South Kitsap Southern

Game #2: Lost 4-5 against South Kitsap Western

Game #3: Won 10-3 against Key Peninsula

Game #4: Won 12-2 against Gig Harbor

Game #5: Won 11-3 against South Kitsap Western

The EJ/Pt team battled back to beat the team that put them in the loser's bracket. Jacob King was on the mound and pitched the entire 7 inning game. Devon Courtney had 3 singles, Jacob King had 2 singles and a double, Derek Ajax a single and a double, CAsey Settje had a triple, Dillon Ralls had a double and a sinlge and Chris Pieper and Cody Russel both had singles.
Game #6: Won 13-12 against South Kitsap Eastern

EJ/PT won a nail biter in the 9th inning after battling back from a 12-4 deficit in the bottom of the 5th. They came back and scored 4 in the 6th and 4 in the 7th tieing the score 12-12. Finally in the bottom of the 9th, the team scored the winning run on a hit by Derek Ajax who also had a double and 2 singles earlier in the game. Other strong hitting was provided by Devon Courtney (2 Singles, 1 Double), Christoper Pieper (2 Doubles), and Casey Settje (2 Singles). Casey Settje and Derek Ajax pitched, followed by fine relief pitching by Christopher Pieper.

Game #7: Won 10-0 against South Kitsap Eastern

The win in Game #6, meant they had to face South Kitsap Eastern yet again to win the District Tournament. EJ/PT came back on fire coming off the win and Kyle Kelly returning to play. With Kyle Kelly on the mound and Emmett Davis/Daniel Charlton behind the plate the team was onstoppable. Devon courtney had 2 singles and a double; Kyle Kelly had 3 singles; Derek Ajax, Alex Morris, and Casey Settje all had doubles; Chris Pieper, Cody Russel and Dillan Ralls all had a single,



Thursday, July 16

Senior Boys are District Champions - On to STATE!

The State Tournament begins July 18 in Bothell, WA. Games are held at Bothell High School baseball fields.

Game #1: Won 1-0 against Hazel Dell (Vancouver)

EJ started off strong in the 1st inning, with Lucas Dukek hitting an infield single, stealing 2nd, taking 3rd on pass ball and scoring on a well placed infield shot by Devin Manix. A few more hits were scattered over the game including a triple ripped down the right field line by Devin but RBIs eluded them. Defensively, EJ was gold with no errors, coupled with outstanding pitching by Joe Modispacher who struck out 11 batters in 7 innings and closer Dylan Brown with 1 strike out. Dylan Brown also wowed the EJ crowd with 2 slides, having avoided sliding all season. :)
