Welcome to our Spring 2010 Little League Baseball Season!
At Eastern Little League our coaching staff are trained by the Positive Coaching Alliance and are committed to providing an environment where players can build character, improve their skills, practice good sportsmanship, and are taught to honor the game of baseball. We take great pride in continuing a legacy that has lasted for almost 50 years, by maintaining a premier facility and providing a youth sports program that is safe, educational and fun for the whole family.

FREE UMPIRE TRAINING CLINICS AVAILABLE IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH!!

It has been announced that Umpire Training Clinics are available in February and March, 2010.  These clinics are geared especially for Little League Baseball, and are open to everyone age 13 or older.  Don't miss this opportunity to become a fundamental part of Eastern Little League.  You may not get another one.

Team Managers and Coaches:   If you are planning to manage or coach a team at Eastern Little League, you need to have this training.  Coaches and managers will be expected to umpired for a certain amount of games throughout the season.

Volunteer Youth Umpires:  If you are 13 years of age, or older, and wish to officiate games at Eastern Little League, this training will get you started on the right foot and also provide seasoned umpires with advanced skills designed to take your game to the next level.  Be the mentors for the younger players.

Volunteer Adult/Parent Umpires:  Learn the basics, polish up your skills, and/or develop some new techniques.  Parents can make the best umpires!  Sometimes parents become less than satisfied, or may disagree with an umpire's call.  They are offered the opportunity to step into the driver's seat and join the men in women in blue, on the field, and learn what constitutes "The Right Call!"

For additional information and to register for this training, click on "Handouts & Forms" on the menu on the Left.  Then click on "Umpire Training".  You will be given two pages, with different dates on each page.  Once you have decided which date is best, you may register online or by mail.  Don't miss out on this golden opportunity; you may not get another one.

 PRESIDENT'S GREETING

To The Eastern Little League Family:

On behalf of the 2010 Board of Directors, I want to say thank you for allowing us to be part of something special.

Eastern Little League is truly a special league and very fortunate to have the support of so many dedicated parents, players and volunteers.  Thanks solely to your efforts, the league has experienced unprecedented growth in recent years.

Thanks also to the outgoing board members.  Last season saw a tremendous number of improvements to the fields and facilities due to their hard work and dedication.

I've always felt that if our parents and children look back on their little league experience with fond memories, we've done our job.  Thanks to all of you for making this happen

- Van Sarantis
