Welcome from the U16 Eagles

EAGLES ARE 2009 STATE CUP FINALISTS
Eagles defeated Ohio Elite in the semi-finals in 2008 3-2 and again this year in 2009 3-2 in pks. Cup Red defeated Ohio Premier 1-0 in overtime to repeat as State Cup finalists. Eagles played well but couldn't repeat as State Cup Champions falling to Cup 1-0 in a well played match by both teams. Congratulations Cup Red and Eagles repeating as State Cup finalists. EAGLES FINISH 2-1-0 AT BLUE CHIP SHOWCASE
Eagles rallied for a 4-3 win Friday against Carmel United SC Adademy coming back from a 3-1 deficit in the second half. Saturday, Eagles had a tough loss to MN Thunder Elite Blue 2-1. MN Thunder went ahead 2-1 with a penalty kick in the second half. Eagles played them tough throughout the match. Sunday Eagles beat Beadling Blaze 1-0 to finish the weekend with three well played games. Great job girls! Saturday, March 7
EAGLES JOIN 5K RUN
The Eagles girls participated in an inaugural 5k race in Dublin, OH for charity. Kate Waldron, a single mother of 3, was killed in an auto accident November 15, 2008. Kate worked for the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Proceeds from the race will go to an educational fund for Kate's three children. Eagles Head Coach, Andrew Kessinger finished the race in first place. The runners were greated by "Woody Hayes" and The Buckeyeman at the finish line. EAGLES GIRLS PERFORM WELL AT DISNEY SHOWCASE
Eagles performed well at the Disney Showcase in Orlando, FL over New Year's tieing Gult Coast United FC (MS) 0-0 and East Meadow United (NYE) 2-2. The girls were disappointed to lose the third game to Charlotte United Futbol Gold (NC) 0-2. Overall it was a good performance and a good experience for the girls at the Disney Wide World of Sports facilities.
EAGLES GIRLS SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER
Christmas Cheer is an annual Salvation Army event. Over 8,000 families were served this year at the Ohio Fairgrounds complex. Each qualified family is provided the makings of a full meal and a toy for the children. Our Eagles volunteers helped distribute food items to the families (chickens, potatoes, apples, butter & eggs). Pictured are Danielle, Ashley, Maria, Pippi, Aubrey, and Lauren. Most of the girls who volunteered this year also participated last year. Allie Schlemitz also participated in this fantastic community service event along with her family on an earlier evening (not pictured). Sunday, June 15
EAGLES QUALIFY FOR 2009 MIDWEST REGION II PREMIER DIVISION
Eagles competed in Hebron, IN for the MRL playoffs and placed 1st to qualify for the MRL Premier Division for the spring 2009 season. The 2nd qualifying team was the Internationals (ON). Eagles defeated Cincinnati Futbol Club 3-0, lost to Internationals 1-0 and tied Wazata Rage 1-1. After 3 games, Eagles were in a three way tie with Internationals and CFA and came away with the top spot on goal differential. Congratulations!! Saturday, May 17
EAGLES U15 GIRLS, 2008 STATE CUP CHAMPIONS!
Eagles defeated Cup Red in the final to become the 2008 State Cup Champions. The girls played tough the entire tournament with the following wins in regulation play: Cup White 2-1 in the first round, Cincinnati Futbol Academy 1-0 in the quarter-final, Ohio Elite 3-2 in the semi-final and Cup Red 4-1 in the championship game. Congratulations!!! |
