Dynasty Fastpitch: Welcome
Welcome to the home of Dynasty Fastpitch LLC. We have assembled a dedicated group of women who are passionate about women's fastpitch softball, and we are working to bring an NPF (National Pro Fastpitch - go to www.profastpitch.com) team to the Atlanta area. This prospective ownership group is comprised of corporate executives and attorneys, mothers and grandmothers of collegiate fastpitch players, as well as NPF professional players who desire to provide positive role models for young ladies.
Now that the International Olympic Committee has eliminated softball from the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, the NPF is poised to take off by offering an opportunity for these dedicated female athletes to display their God-given talents. We have obtained preliminary agreements in support of our goal, and we are excited about our progress toward this goal, but we're not yet able to make public announcements. Please check back with us regularly for updates (we will make public announcements as soon as we are permitted to do so).
If you love women's sports and fastpitch softball, then we need your support. We need the support of our community and committed sponsors to make this dream a reality (for sponsorship opportunities, contact us at pcdelashmit@yahoo.com). If you are excited about the prospect of a women's professional fastpitch team coming to town, please let us know by signing our Guestbook (and taking our Survey).

Cobb County to Host 2010 Girls' 18-GOLD National Championship
The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) national office has announced that Marietta, GA (Cobb County) will be the site for the 2010 ASA Girls’ 18-Under GOLD National Championship August 1-7. With an ASA Code decision recently passed by the ASA Council, the 18-U GOLD National Championship will move to the Lost Mountain Softball Complex in Marietta in 2010, a to be determined west coast site in 2011 and return to the ASA Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City in 2012.
“With the changes that occurred in Reno at the ASA Annual Meeting, we decided that moving the GOLD to the east would be a great first step towards the new rotation,” said ASA Executive Director Ron Radigonda. “Marietta has proven to be a successful host for ASA National Championships especially as the 2004 hosts of the GOLD National. We are excited to move this tournament next year to the west and then every third year return to our home in Oklahoma City. We feel this is the best solution to meet the needs of the teams and everyone else involved in the success of the GOLD.”

After some fine investigative journalism, Kristi Swartz of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution discovered and reported that it is, in fact, the 2009 Cowles Cup Champion Rockford Thunder Team that Dynasty Fastpitch is working to acquire (subject to approval by the National Pro Fastpitch League). Atlanta loves a Champion, and there is no Champion better than the Thunder! Let's get behind them Atlanta - these ladies deserve our best effort and they can't wait to meet you!
If you want to be a part of this effort (in any capacity - we are hearing from sponsors, volunteers and investors), please contact us at: pcdelashmit@yahoo.com

Hey Atlanta, wouldn't it be great to see Alabama All-American and USA National Team star Brittany Rogers out on the dirt here in Hotlanta?! Our biggest fan in Dacula checked in to sign our Guestbook and send out a word of encouragement - that's what Brittany does best! We're fired up and working hard to bring it (NPF) home.

Two more Thunder stars, Chelsea Spencer and Shanel Scott, join the Thunder Roll Call!
If you haven't seen it yet, Chelsea Spencer rocked a Thunder-shot homer against the Pride in the 2009 Cowles Cup Championship Final (Game 3 - bottom of the 3rd inning) that took Lowe through the centerfield fence and put the game away. Go to www.MLB.com to search for the footage of the Championship series - it is terrific, fundamental softball and Cat was masterful as always!

Three of the biggest names in professional fastpitch gave Dynasty Fastpitch a word of encouragement on Twitter! NPF Commissioner Cheri Kempf, Cat Osterman and Jennie Finch threw their support our way last night, in the midst of another incredible victory for the New York Yankees dynasty.
Dynasty Fastpitch looks forward to the day that we capture our 27th Cowles Cup, and reach millions of young ladies and their families - we all need a dream! With names like Kempf, Osterman and Finch behind us, we see that day coming soon.
Please support and follow the NPF and these terrific players - follow them at:

Well, true to form, Jennie Finch took the time to check in with us from the road and almost immediately the Chicago Bandits took the lead in the voting for Favorite NPF Team from the Rockford Thunder! It's a border war now!
And The Diamond Sports 2009 Pitcher of the Year, Eileen Canney (Chicago Bandits), quickly moved into the race with Cat and Jennie for Favorite NPF Pitcher. But the southern girls Abbott (UT) and Norris (UNC) are right there with her.
Vote as much as you like, but keep those votes coming! Also, please encourage your local businesses to support National Pro Fastpitch and our effort to bring it to Atlanta. Have them email us or leave a comment in the Guestbook and we will follow up.

For our "Ask the Pros" segment, Dynasty Fastpitch caught up with Aileen Morales (Chicago Bandits player and Georgia Tech Assistant Coach) as she came off the field after a long day of individual instruction with her players.
We discussed with Amo the dominating performance of Rockford Thunder ace, Cat Osterman, in the 2009 Cowles Cup Championship. Between the two games on Championship Sunday, Cat Osterman struck out an amazing 26 batters and only gave up four hits. For the tournament, Osterman struck out 50 batters in 31 innings in five starts, pitching 31 of her team's 41 innings.
We tried to get Amo to tell us the secrets of the pros when facing a pitcher with such dominating "stuff." We asked: "what are looking for on the first pitch; what pitch are you looking to hit; if you're down in the count, what do you expect to see?" As any great hitter might, Aileen hesitated to answer for fear of giving away the "scouting report" but she did give us this nugget of news . . . "You won't see me swing at her dropball because that thing is too nasty to hit. It's DY-nasty!"
What a great sense of humor! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Coach Morales!

Hello NPF fans!
Caitlin Lever here, outfielder for the Chicago Bandits and the Canadian National Team. I played my college career with Georgia Tech and when I heard of the possibility of having a pro team there I was ecstatic. I hope everything pans out well and all the great fans of Atlanta support their team!! Looking forward to professional excitement hitting my alma mater's field!

Dynasty Fastpitch knows how Atlanta loves a little friendly competition! Keep voting for your favorite NPF players in our Survey, and we'll announce the results November 30th.
Cat and Jennie are neck-and-neck, but our hometown girl Lisa Norris is comin' on strong (just like her pitching!). We're bettin' there are some Tar Heels out there somewhere to make this a 3-way race!
Atlanta is Thunderstruck right now, but the Thunder was only up by 1 over the Bandits! Amo's been sending her Chicago Bandit friends to check out the action in Atlanta and this one is a tight game too. The Bandits don't go down without a serious fight. If the Bandits can get Jennie to jump into the game (and sign the Guestbook), they might be able to take it -- we'll see! {=0

Hey Fastpitch Fans -- did you happen to notice post #44 in our Guestbook from ThunderPitcher8? That's right!
Make sure to follow Cat on Twitter and check out her website. And don't forget to vote for Cat in our online Survey (Jennie's catching Cat in the results)!! Aileen Morales (Chicago Bandits - Georgia Tech Assistant Coach) is still our favorite position player, but we're a bit partial since she's one of our professional player advisors. Keep coming back and watch carefully - you may see posts from other NPF players also.

Hey everyone Aileen Morales checking in to show my support! I am extremely excited about the opportunity to have an NPF team here in Atlanta.
