BAHAMAS YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE 2004-2005 SEASON UNDERWAY
The Y League season got under way and your Dynamos Youth squads took to the field against Cavalier Football Club. Well true to form we were waiting on them and when the Red Brigade showed up, they were ambushed!. The 9-under squad led by new coaches Vaughn Culmer and Vishnu Turnquest guided their teams to 1-0 and 2-0 victories . Mitchell Thurston scored the only goal for his team on a beautiful strike from a set play 15 yards out. It curled wide of the far post and tucked beautifully into the pigeon corner. In the second game a tough defence led by Dhurai Ferguson in goal and stoppers Cameron Lynch and Jahlil Johnson held up the 2 goals scored by Kwame Glinton. Kwame surprised all as he displayed a goal scoring hunger we had not seen in a while. Hopefully we will get more from him this weekend.
In the 11-under game, a lack of players showing up put the team in a critical position and as a result they lost their matches against the Cavalier Squad.
In the 13-under Division games , your squad exacted revenge to the tune of 11-0. Captain Ehren Hanna got the ball rolling scoring 5 big goals. He was followed Mikhael Mcclean with 3 goals. Peter Cartwright had 1 even though he should have had 4 , Brian Kemp just up from the 11-under team got 1 and Raymius Johnson rounded out the scoring fest. We scored 17 on this team last year so we are off pace a bit.
The following week (Nov.6) we hosted the Carmichael Primary Boys 11-under Team and after scoring the first goal of the game, we allowed the visitors to come from behind and win the game 3-1. Coach Rolle has his work cut out for him as hew seeks his first team win of the season...
This weekend we play host to Virgo Angels and we know this is always a scrap. SO all friends, Family and others should be out on time to cheer on your team....
