"Professional coaches measure success in rings. College coaches measure success in championships. High School coaches measure success to titles. Youth coaches measure success in smiles."Paul McAllister, Youth Coach

DVYAC is an non-affiliated organization that supports recreational, competitive, tournament, and scholastic youth activities in the Dayton Valley area. Dayton is located on the Nevada high desert about 15 miles east of Carson City. Dubbed the DaytonNation by local media for the rabid support of our youth teams, we are actively seeking to build a world class youth support environment on our little piece of the planet. Most importantly we are building a foundation for our young boys and girls so they can grow into upstanding men and women.

There is an old saying that 20% of the people do 80% of the work. This is also true when it comes to funding youth programs worldwide. Please visit and patronize our sponsors.

Silverada Try outs scheduled for this Saturday 17 March

Silverada Little League will be conducting tryouts Saturday March 17th at the baseball complex next to Dayton Elementary school. The weather is suppose to be great, but this is Nevada Baseball... Players trying out should wear baseball pants, tops should be worn in layers to adjust for the weather, wear a baseball hat, if they have them they should wear spikes and bring their glove. A favorite bat is also welcomed. Don't forget the sunscreen. Water is turned on in the snack shack, so they will be serving and the bathrooms will be open.

Times are:

Majors (11-12)    9:00am-10:00am
Minors (9-10)    10:00am-11:00am
Farm   (7,8,9)    11:00am-1:00pm

Your son or daughter may be asked to tryout in two divisions ie. tryout for majors and then stay over for the minor division.

There are no tryouts for Coach Pitch or Tee ball. Immediately following the Farm Tryouts coaches of all divisions will meet and draft their teams. Practices start Monday.

Good luck
