Please Please Please do not leave ruts in the fields. Level holes with rakes after every use of fields.

Cover mounds at MS1, Gallinas, and V1 with round tarps provided/sandbags to anchor at night. Square tarps may be used at the batting areas.

Please uncover in daytime when no rain is expected, so mounds can dry out.

GENERAL RULE: FIELDS ARE CLOSED TO PRACTICES FOR 24 HOURS AFTER A RAIN, AS A CONDITION OF OUR FIELD PERMITS. Particularly stay off the grass and the pitchers mounds. If the rain was brief and light you may practice the next day in the dirt areas of the basepaths. However, please rake out and drag out any footprints from the practice as these will harden into ruts that are very hard to repair!  If you come to a field for a practice and find it left in disarray please report this to the League!

If it has rained today, please use the blacktop areas for catch and throw drills. Best to use softee balls or tennis balls in this situation.Ask equipment manager for some softee balls if you do not have any.

HAVE PLAYERS BRING TENNIS SHOES IN THEIR KITS DURING WET WEATHER. BATTING CAGE IS OK BUT KIDS WOULD NEED UMBRELLAS OR HOODED JACKETS WHILE WAITING TO BAT.

All Manager and Coach Applicants must have completed their Coach Applications and have sumbitted their background check forms and have been cleared before being allowed to step on a field with any of our kids. . No exceptions.

2012 BOARD OF DIRECTORS: (in alphabetical order) Bill Blackburn, Aaron Bortel, Pat Carlin, Dale Carrigan, Jeff Dal Porto, Mike Hanna, Bob Hubbs, Loren Kertz, Jeff Jamieson, Greg Martinez, Nancy Miller, Richard Nielsen, Michael Perani, Emily Smith, & Linda Tarantino.
We still have room for some more members on the Board. If you are interested, please sumit a request for appointment to the Board. In order to be eligible for Board membership you need to have been an active volunteer in the League, currently, or in the past. This pretty much means all the adults associated with the League who served and helped us in any prior season!

Please consider Board membership! Its a lot of fun. Your membership will involve attending a  monthly meeting, Sept thru May 2012 and an occasional additional meeting if necessary.

Your role would be to be a part of the policy making volunteer Board who will shape each season. What you actually do specifically  on the Board is to be decided later, but if you have an interest in this leadership role, you need to submit a statement which must include:

-Your name and contact info.
-What DTLLL volunteer service qualifies you to be a board member
-Your interests related to serving on the Board and the kids of DTLLL
- Any kind of general information about you, your ideas, philosophies etc that would make you a good member of this year's Board.

2011 DTLLL ALL STARS RECAP:

All 4 DTLLL All Stars teams advanced from the Pool Play round to the Elimination Round. Congratulations! We are proud of all of you!!

The DTLLL Juniors All Stars advanced to the Championship game but were defeated by Mill Valley.

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS 2011:

Our local playoffs winners moved on to the District 03 Tournament of Champions. Results: Minors Giants were defeated in Championship game, Majors Giants and Jrs Mariners were defeated in second round games. A great effort by all our teams!

Congratulations to Playoff winners:  Juniors Mariners, Majors Giants, and Minors Giants.

Our regular season winners were the Juniors Mariners, Majors Giants and Minor A's.

NOTE THAT SOME FIELDS DRAIN BETTERTHAN OTHERS SO YOU SOME GAMES MAY PROCEED WHERE OTHERS CANNOT.
THE FINAL DECISION TO PLAY OR NOT IS MADE BY THE MANAGERS OF BOTH TEAMS PRIOR TO THE START OF A GAME DEPENDING ON THE SAFETY OF THE FIELD.
IF THE GAME STARTS AND THEN RAIN BEGINS TO FALL THE UMPIRES OF THE GAME (AND/OR GAME COORDINATOR) WILL DECIDE WHETHER TO TEMPORARILY OR TOTALLY SUSPEND A GAME.
This will NOT be a Manager's or Parent's decision once the game has started.
  FALL BALL REGISTRATION WILL OPEN MID AUGUST FOR MID-SEPT thur OCTOBER SUNDAY SCRIMMAGE LEAGUE.
