Columbus Fire Hockey
Started in 1993 when a few Columbus firefighters decided they wanted to try to play hockey at the brand new Chiller Ice rink in Dublin, Ohio. They now have a team of 20 firefighters who play year round in a local league as well as participate in various firefighter & public safety tournaments and charity events around North America.

Central Ohio retired Firefighters Web Site
Web site of the Central Ohio Retired Firefighters. The Central Ohio Retired Firefighters (4-Unit) is a thriving, growing organization with 550+ members. They have a monthly business/luncheon meeting the first Wednesday of each month at 1200 hours at the Firefighters V.F.W., 1591 Lockbourne Rd., Columbus, OH. They encourage retirees from 23 city and twp. depts. within the Central Ohio area to join.
4-Unit is a fraternal organization. They have monthly meetings to conduct business and socialize, a bi-monthly newsletter, a bi-annual roster, annual picnic and golf league. They also have the more serious side where they sponsor and lobby for legislation that positively affects all fire and police retirees in Ohio.
Get Behind the Badge
Get Behind The Badge was organized as a collective effort to unite the Law Enforcement community and Public Safety Service fields. Their primary objective is to provide immediate financial aid to any Law Enforcement Officer or Firefighter who is critically injured or killed in the line of duty as well as to continue to promote and build a stronger relationship between the citizens of the community with their respective safety forces.
