Dry Creek Baseball: Spring 2012 Divisions

Division 1 - Tball
Ages 4 through 5

This is a T-ball program. Players will hit from a T. This age group does not keep score. It is to teach fundamentals of baseball. This age group will play once a week on Saturday. There is one practice a week.

Division 2 - Modified Tball
Age 6

This is a modified T-ball program. The ball will be thrown to the child 5 pitches. If the child does not hit the ball a T will be put up for the child to hit off of. This age group does not keep score. It is to teach fundamentals of baseball. This age group plays two times a week. There is one practice a week.

Division 3 - 7 Year Olds
Age 7 — Coach pitch

These groups start to play more "real baseball". For example 3 strikes is an out. Three outs ends the inning. The League discourages aggressive base running at this age. Plays two times a week — one practice a week. Division broken up into 7 yr old teams and 8-year-old teams.

Division 4 - 8 Year Olds
Age 8 — Kid pitch
Plays two times a week — one practice per week. At least one All Star team is selected for tournament, possibly more. Division broken up into 9 yr old teams and 10-year-old teams.

Division 5 - 9 Year Olds
Age 9 - Kid Pitch

This division will play other Legion C teams from the Denver area and surrounding suburbs. There is a possibility of travel. Coach and players come in as a whole team.

PLAYERS IN THIS AGE GROUP MUST SEND IN A PAPER APPLICATION. THERE IS NO ONLINE REGISTRATION. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED IF THERE ARE ENOUGH PLAYERS TO FIELD TEAMS IN THIS DIVISION.

Division 6 - 10 Year Olds
Age 10 - Kid Pitch

This division may interleague with Aurora and Colorado Springs. If you plan on taking vacation or going to camps, it is recommended that you do not sign up. 14 Year Olds can be a swing player in this division.

PLAYERS IN THIS AGE GROUP MUST SEND IN A PAPER APPLICATION. THERE IS NO ONLINE REGISTRATION. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED IF THERE ARE ENOUGH PLAYERS TO FIELD TEAMS IN THIS DIVISION.

Division 7 - Majors
Age 11 and 12 — Kid pitch

All players will be required to try out. Plays three times a week. Play on 60' basepaths, no lead-offs, pitch from 46'. This division will possibly interleague with teams from Aurora. Will have one All-Star team and possibly an additional post-season tournament team from this division.
