Dry Creek Baseball: Welcome
Some items that need to be clarified:
FOR PLAYERS 12 AND UNDER -- THEY CANNOT SWING THE BAT EXCEPT WHEN AT THE PLATE. THAT MEANS NOT IN THE GRASS, NOT IN THE OUTFIELD, -- NOWHERE. THERE IS NO ON DECK CIRCLE. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ONE FOR 10 YEARS. THE INJURY RATE HAS DRAMATICALLY BEEN REDUCED SINCE THIS RULE CAME INTO EFFECT.
Only a player may warm up the pitcher. No adults can warm up the pitcher and the player must have a catcher's helmet on.
Please send scores to both me (rcrew1@aol.com) and Don Henderson (donaldhenderson@earthlink.net). Don will be gone from June 2nd through June 14th. I will be doing the scores during that time.
Umpires are only provided for ages 8 and up. TBall and Modified TBall do not keep score.
If you need any equipment, i.e. pitching rubbers, shin guards, I will be back in Denver late Thursday night and leaving Friday afternoon for Arizona. I have a short window Friday morning to go to the storage shed to get anything. I will most likely leave the equipment on Scott Higgins front porch and you will have to pick it up there.
