Program Overview
The Damonte Ranch Youth Basketball Winter program is open to boys and girls in 3rd through 6th grade.  Skill development sessions as well as team competition encompasses the winter program which begins December 6, 2008 and runs through March 21, 2009.  An informational flyer and the registration form for the 2008-09 season are available by clicking the Handouts link to the left.   Registration fee for this year is $135 for the first player and $100 for each sibling and includes a jersey, an individual and team picture, and a trophy.

The schedule begins with skill development sessions in December.  Players  progress through a variety of skill-building stations focused on dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense.  During the last December session, players are evaluated on their skills with the information to be used to form the teams in as equitable manner as possible.  In January, the players are assigned to teams and have one or two practices per week (weekends) with their teams.  February through mid-March is devoted to game competition which takes place on weeknights and Saturday mornings.  Teams play 2 games per week during the regular season with the last week being an end-of-season tournament with all teams participating in at least two games.
