WELCOME to the web site of the Druid Hills Bombers, 2003 Mustang Georgia State Champions and 2004 Bronco 11U Georgia State Champions. Thanks for visiting!
For three summers from 2003 to 2005, the Bombers played as a competitive all-star tournament team from Medlock Park in Decatur, Georgia. Druid Hills Youth Sports [DHYS] runs the baseball program at Medlock Park, which is affiliated with PONY Baseball.
The Bombers competed against some of the top travel teams and rec all-star teams in the metro Atlanta area and North Georgia as they prepared for PONY Baseball tournaments at the state level and beyond. In addition to two Georgia PONY Baseball state titles, the Bombers matched up against regional and national competition through tournaments in Texas, Maryland, Florida, and New York.

BOMBERS BASEBALL HIGHLIGHTS
2003 Mustang Georgia State Champions The Bombers captured their first state title as ten-year olds in 2003 in the Mustang division of PONY Baseball.
2003 Mustang South Zone Tournament The Bombers advanced to the finals of the 2003 Mustang South Zone Tournament in Boerne, Texas, where they were defeated by the eventual Mustang World Series Champions from Tamiami, Florida.
2004 Bronco 11U State Champions The Bombers defended their state title in 2004 by winning the Bronco 11U Georgia State Championship.
2004 Ripken Baseball 11U Tournament of Champions Following the 2004 PONY tournaments, the Bombers were invited to the Ripken Baseball 11U Tournament of Champions in Aberdeen, Maryland. The Ripken Youth Baseball Academy features immaculately maintained fields that are scaled-down replicas of Camden Yards, Fenway Park, Memorial Stadium, and Wrigley Field. Premier teams from throughout the eastern U.S. participated in the week-long tournament. The Bombers proudly represented Georgia and finished in second place.
2005 Bronco State Runner Ups The Bombers won the Bronco District 2 Tournament hosted by Powder Springs, but they came in second to NYO in the Bronco Georgia State Tournament at Chastain Park. The Bombers advanced to represent Georgia in the Bronco Regional Tournament in Tampa, Florida, where they finished 2-2. Both losses were to the Florida State Champions from Tamiami.

2005 COOPERSTOWN DREAMS PARK INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
The Bombers concluded their summer at the 2005 Cooperstown Dreams Park Invitational Tournament in the mythical home of baseball, Cooperstown, New York.
Cooperstown Dreams Park is known as The Crown Jewel of Youth Baseball, and the tournament brings together 80 top teams from around the country for a week of baseball competition. Following the tournament, all participants were enshrined in the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame.
At Cooperstown Dreams Park, players can revel in the pride of being "hall-of-famers" as they become part of youth baseball history.
