OC 3rd Place Finish
2008 3rd Place Finish in OC
2005 Monday League Champs

******************* We are still looking for our 1000th Win !!!!!   *******************

Dreamers Softball,  Mens slowpitch team founded in 1978 with 226 alumni from Maryland and 7 other States... All alumni have lifetime stats on file... The Dreamers have played in 1487 games winning 999 for a .672 winning %.   The Dreamers played in leagues throughout the Baltimore area starting in 1978.   2001 proved to be the most successful year as the Dreamers won 97 Games enjoying a .764 winning %... That year they captured 4 league titles and 1st place in 2 local tournaments. A 2nd place finish at OC and 6th place out of 96 teams in York Pa...USSSA power rankings placed the Dreamers 6th in the state out of 300+ teams in 2001.

With our children in need of some parenting, our priorities have understandibly shifted away from softball.  That combined with a father time wake up call we ceased league and tournament play, with the exception of a possible fall tournament at OC.   In 2008 we played in OC in Oct and finished 3rd out of 14 teams. Five years later we played in the same tournament and went 0-4.....  Wow !!!!  MIND SAYS YES, body says NO Flipping Way !!!
Beginning with 3b Steve Giordani in 1978, John Picciotto, Eddie Starlepper, Dick Dickson, Barry Wolfshiemer, Bob Bortel, Randy Esenwine, Vince DiGiacomo & Willie Fahey all they way to the 2008 Final Dreamer Roster, the DREAMERS established a unique softball organization; though never the best in the State, could possibly be the oldest and richest in tradition..  Please check all the catagories on the left of the screen (including "Photos & Lifetime Stats").Check out the photos and see who you know. If you are a former Dreamer player and wish to get in contact with me concerning old friends, updates or reunions please feel free to email me at tonypicc12@gmail.com  ..

R I P Mike Ridgell # 29

Mike Ridgell 3/6/61 - 9/16/13

The Dreamers lost one of it's finest as did the law enforcement world when on 9/16/13 Mike Ridgell was one of 12 killed by a gunman in the DC Naval Yard Shooting. Mike was one of the scrappiest players to ever wear a Dreamer uniform. He always gave 110 % and it rubbed off on his teammates. His patented head first slides were worth the price of admission. His uniform was by far the dirtiest and win or lose he always showed good sportmanship. Mike never lost the little kid in him and many a funny stories will continue to be told of Mike's antics at the Ocean City Tournaments.  Like the time Tommy pulled some guy over on Coastal Highway and gave him a ticket. Thanks for the Good Times Mike, you will be  missed !
