Del Rey American Little League (DRALL): Welcome

Now that you've joined DRALL, the next steps... Volunteer- There are many opportunities for volunteering in our league. From maintaining our two fields, to soliciting sponsors, each team has volunteer positions that will benefit the league while enhancing your little league experience. We are looking for coaches, umpires, and team volunteers (team mom, team dad, scorekeeper, announcer, team sponsor). So start thinking about what you can do to contribute to the league. Contribute- From new scoreboards, to programs that will benefit DRALL, these endeavors need to be funded. One immediate need is to secure funding for the upcoming Positive Coaching Alliance Workshop (of which you as a DRALL parent/ volunteer is invited). - Umpire Training- Scheduled for Feb. 4, 12, and 26. Class training on the first Thursday of the month at Hawthorne Senior Center, starting at 7pm (District 37 event)
- Orientation-February 7th at Cowan Avenue Elementary School Auditorium. Our board president Paul Dennis and board members will be present to answer any questions and guide you through the upcoming Spring 2012 season. Official date and time will be posted at drall.org.
- Picture Night- February 29, 2012 at Paseo del Rey Elementary School Auditorium, with dates and times to be determined and will be segmented by divisions and teams.
- Opening Day- Pancake breakfast (free for DRALL families), introduction of the teams and coaches, and the ceremonial first pitch will occur on Saturday, March 3, 2012, starting at 8am.
Register Friends and Family- We are still accepting registrations online. If your little leaguer has friends or siblings who would like to join, they still can! See below for more details.
Donate for the Positive Coaching Alliance Program
Each season, our managers, coaches, and other little league volunteers will have the opportunity to go through the Positive Coaching Alliance Workshop, where our volunteers will learn about how to create a positive, character-building experience for the upcoming season.
