The first period set the tone for the game with an action filled fifteen minutes. The Dragons stunned the Wizards by scoring just 34 seconds into the game. The goal was scored by Jack Dunkleman assisted by Brandon Fienco. The rest of the period was back and forth action until Cornwall’s Fienco scored on an assist from Patrick Ryan with 1:10 left in the period. The Wizards responded with a goal of their own with 49 seconds left in the period to play to bring them within a goal at the end of the first period.

Between the pipes during the second half of the game was Sean Clohessy, who continually frustrated the Wizards and shut them out the rest of the way. At the 3:56 mark Brandon Fienco, on a breakaway, scored his second goal unassisted. Two very late goals by Jack Dunkleman and Jesse Woinicki, his second, sealed the victory for the Dragons. Cornwall stamina showed as they wore down the Wizards.
The hard work that they have put into practice guided by Head Coach Jim Basher and assistants Mike DeRosa and Dave Monroe was clearly evident. The Dragons are now 4-1 and are getting better each week.
