3 Dragons have Jerseys Retired in Ceremony
Coach Joel Kaufman retired the Jersey's of 3 of his most prominent Dragons in a ceremony at the annual End of Year BBQ. Jonny Ash (#12) was retired after Jonny batted .598 his senior year and was an All-State Player. Wil and Carol Ash were present to accept the honor as Jonny is currently playing for the Houston Astro minor league club. Steven Singleton (#5) was also retired. This All-State player was most remembered for his 3-run walkoff homer in the bottom of the 7th to beat De La Salle. He was at the BBQ to accept his jersey accompanied by his parents Steve and Susan. Finally, Eric Walterhouse (#33) who led the 2004 Dragons in all offensive categories and was the HAAL player of the Year accepted his jersey accompanied by his parents Midge and Dick.
2005 Seniors Honored
Tyson Ross, David Williams, Rashad Tucker, Bryce Mendonca and Rob Howard were honored for their contributions to the Dragon Baseball Program by Coach Joel Kaufman.
