Incident at Red Sox vs. Athletics Game

For anyone who would like to know what really happened at this game:

The Athletics failed to play all of their players for the minimum required time. Therefore the game was under protest. Any game that is played under protest will be decided by the President of Downey Youth Baseball.

This rule is in affect so that all players can share equal playing time. The manager of the Athletics fully understands the consequences of his actions and accepted full responsibilty for his teams loss.

The bylaws stating this rule are attached below. All managers recieved these bylaws before the season started.

The behavior of the players and parents on the Athletics Team was totaly appauling and will not be accepted at the Downey ball fields. Any parent that was yelling across the field about their children not coming back next year......the league is better off without that kind....not the child...the parents.

Parents and fans that come to games have got to remember, you are there to cheeer on the players....not to get involved in umpires calls, or coach from the sidelines but to encourage our children to be fair sports and not always try to blame their mistakes on Umpires, coaches....etc
