Dover Legion Post 8 Seeking Donors and Sponsors

The Dover Post 8 American Legion Baseball Team is looking for sponsors for the 2012 season. Over the past several years, American Legion Baseball in New Hampshire has been growing. Dover Post 8 sponsors both a Senior Legion baseball team and a Junior Legion baseball team. The Dover Post 8 program has had recent success as they won the 2000 Senior Legion State Championship and the 2009 and 2010 Junior Legion State Championships. This season, the cost to operate the two Post 8 American Legion Baseball Teams will approach $10,000. To provide the players with an adequate level of funding, we are looking for corporate, business and individual sponsors for the 2012 season. The donations will off-set the costs for umpires, insurance, uniforms and equipment. Consider becoming a sponsor, or a donor, for the 2012 Post 8 American Legion Baseball teams.

The sponsorship plans are as follows:

Legion Baseball Teams Honored Post 8 Veterans for Memorial Day

Each year the Legion and Junior Legion teams help the Post 8 Veterans place flags on each Veterans grave in the cemetery’s through out Dover. It is our privilege to place flags upon each Veteran’s grave in remembrance of their brave service to our country for the Memorial Day holiday. For those players who have done this in years past, we thank you.  It is a small way to say thank you to the Veterans who support our Baseball program and the Veterans who have died and served our country.
