  Welcome

Dover, New Hampshire, ASA Slow-pitch Men's softball league.

68 YEARS AND GOING STRONG

The Dover Men's Softball League is the oldest organized softball league in the state of New Hampshire. Established in 1940, softball is still being played at Guppy Park and going strong!

PATRIOT'S POOL

Last year the League hosted a PATRIOT'S POOL football square fundraiser to raise money for the purchase of a new scoreboard. It was a huge success and we all enjoyed the new scoreboard that was installed at the beginning of this season.

We are running the pool again this year to raise money for field improvements for the spring of 2009. Items being considered as improvements that the fundraiser could be used for are: a new field drag, drainage piping, infield ball-mix, new score booth doors, and dugouts. Obviously we cannot afford all those items but every year we will get closer to our goals.

To everyone who bought a square... thank you for your support.

PLAYOFF ELIGIBILTY UPDATE

The By-laws state that a player must participate in 20 games (66.6%) in order to be eligible to participate in the playoffs. Because so many players were on the cusp of qualifying but not quite there... the rule was amended to read that a player must have played in 16 games (50%) to participate in the playoffs.

The attached handout is a list of each of the teams players that are NOT eligible to participate in post-season play.

HALL FAMILY DONATES DIFIBULATOR MACHINE

A member from every team in the Dover league attended a Red Cross sponsered First Aid and Difibulator Class held at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital. By so doing we were given a defibulator machine donated by Shawn Hall's family in his memory.

Special thanks to everyone who attended the clinic and especially to the family of Shawn Hall.

Thanks to all of you we may save someones' life!!!
