FALL BALL REGISTRATION DATES

Baseball and Softball

Registration for FALL BALL  will be held on July 1, 2009 from 6:00-8:00pm and July 11, 2009 from 10:00am to noon.  Registration will be held at Dover Little League Complex. 

Fall Ball is open to players ages 6-16.  A birth certificate is required for all players  except for current players from DLL.  Cost is $50.00.

The season starts on August 31 and runs thru October 15.  Games will be played Monday thru Thursday.  Friday will be used for make-up games with no games on the weekends.

For those who didn't know, our Senior League Softball had to combine with Camden-Wyoming and Marydel to form a Senior League Softball team this year.  The team, Buckson Irrigation was made up of all Dover LL girls except for one player.  Our girls had a record of 11 wins and 4 losses and earned a playoff spot.  The playoff will be held at Camden-Wyoming LL on July 7.  Be sure to come out and support our girls during the playoffs.

Dover Little League is holding a raffle. The raffle prize is an all paid Wolverine Baseball Day Camp experience being held at Wesley College.  The camp is a $145.00 value.  Raffle tickets are only $2.00.  Tickets are available at the Concession Stand.  Camp brochures are also available at the Concession Stand.  Get your tickets early and often to support Dover Little League and Wesley College Baseball.

Dover Little League Mission Statement

The objective of Dover Little League is to implant firmly in  boys and girls of the community the ideas of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence, so they may be finer, stronger, and happier boys and girls and will grow to be good, clean, and healthy men and women.

We will provide a program to all the boys and girls regardless of race, ethnicity, or creed that is competitive and educational in both baseball and softball.  The objective will be achieved by providing supervised and structured games.  The winning of a game is secondary to the primary objective of molding our future men and women

DLL members strive to address concerns and issues that may arise in a timely manner.  DLL is a volunteer organization and most volunteers have jobs and family life outside of DLL.  With that said, to better serve  the community of DLL we ask that all concerns or issues be directed to the Webmaster link located on the left side of our home page.  This way the concern or issue can be directed to the appropriate league volunteer to get the quickest resolution.  Thanks for your continued support of Dover Little League.

In Our Thoughts and Prayers

Not long ago, a member of our Dover Little League family, Ethan Williams, was diagnosed with a devastating illness.  Please keep the Williams family in your thoughts and prayers as this young man and family fights this illness.

 VOLUNTEERS MAKE IT HAPPEN AT DOVER LITTLE LEAGUE!!!

While Dover Little League, Incorporated is a nonprofit organization, we still have to pay for everything needed to run the League.  Last year our expenditures exceeded $145,000.  We have one of the best, if not the best Parks on the East Coast. Our revenues depend entirely on our registration fees, sponsors, fundraisers, donations, and our concession stand.  No officer, director, manager, coach, or umpire receives pay for his or her service.  It's the volunteers who keep our League operating smoothly.  SO PLEASE VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME AND EFFORTS TO MAKE 2009 THE BEST YEAR EVER AT DOVER LITTLE LEAGUE.
