Region 2-AAAAA Track & Field Championship Meet April 22 & 23 Lakewood Stadium  The Athletic Department of Frederick Douglass High School exists that, through its program, student-athletes have the opportunity to achieve their full potential academically and athletically, and that the school and its population benefit from their being represented by students engaged in athletics. The Frederick Douglass Athletic Department is committed: * To meet the obligations of the mission of Frederick Douglass High School * To provide the opportunity for student-athletes to seek and achieve their potential through growth and development academically and athletically * To provide a positive environment for athletic excellence and achievement while developing leaders in the classroom and our community * To support the academic objectives of our student-athletes and ensure their progress towards a diploma. * To provide and support a program at the highest level of competition * To develop student-athletes of good academic quality, good character and high athletic ability. * To comply with the rules and policies of all governing bodies and Frederick Douglass High School. * To represent Frederick Douglass High School, the Atlanta Public Schools, administration, faculty, students, staff, alumni, and friends appropriately. * To develop the values of leadership, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and integrity among our student-athletes and staff. |
