The Cardinals outdone by Vahey and the Dodgers, 3-2
Dylan Vahey drove in three runs, helping the Dodgers to a 3-2 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday at Lions .
He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fifth inning.
Logan Siegford was in control on the bump. Siegford gave up just one hit, allowed two earned runs, walked four and struck out eight during his 4 1/3 innings of work.
The bottom of the first saw the Dodgers take an early lead, 2-0. A single by Vahey, bringing home Siegford and Joseph Strietzel started the inning off.
The Cardinals matched their one-run second inning with one more in the fifth. In the second, the Cardinals scored on a passed ball, plating Drew Zaken.
The Cardinals tied the game in the fifth on a passed ball that scored A Miller.
The game's last lead went to the Dodgers thanks to a fifth inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on an RBI triple by Vahey.
