Enrollment
Janet's All-Star Cheerleading, Gymnastics, & Dance (JACGD) offers two (2) sessions: a summer session and a school year session.
An Agreement to Participate, a Student Information form, and a Rules and Policies Acknowledgement must be completely filled out and submitted with the appropriate registration fee(s) and tuition due prior to your child starting any session at JACGD.
Students who attend both sessions (enrolled all year long) are considered currently enrolled students at JACGD. These students will have priority for re-enrollment at JACGD over new students and students who take the summer off.
New students may join at anytime during either session as long as there is space available in that particular class. A waiting list will be maintained for full classes. You will be notified after the priority deadline has passed and open enrollment begins if space in a full class becomes available.
PLEASE NOTE: JACGD reserves the right to cancel or change any class not reaching the minimum number of students necessary to run the class.
Payment of Fees
An annual registration fee of $30.00 for individuals or $50 for families is due immediately upon enrollment. Registration fees will be valid for one year from the date of registration and are NON-REFUNDABLE. This fee will help defray administrative costs and, if kept current, entitles you and your immediate family members (if a family membership is purchased) to discounts on tuition, open gym nights, birthday parties, and various clinics throughout the year. Remember, this fee gives you priority enrollment for future sessions (if enrolled all year long) over new students and students who take the summer off.
If your child has decided to stop cheer, gymnastics, or dance after the current sssion has finished, please let me know.
Classes must be paid for by the 10th of each moth. There will be a 10% late fee assessed to all balances not paid in full by the 10th of each month.
If you take a second class, you will receive 10% off that tuition.
Attendance
Please arrive at class regularly and ON TIME. Do not drop your child off any sooner than 10 minutes prior to their scheduled class time. Also, please only drop off the child who is taking the class and not that child's siblings as well. Please notify me if you will be missing classes for an extended period of time due to illness or vacation.
Health
If your child is sick enough to miss school, please keep them home from JACGD.
Attire
Gymnastics
For girls, please wear a leotard. You may also wear "Shorty Shorts" over your leotard. If you would like to purchase a pair of shorty shorts, please see me. For boys, please wear a t-shirt and shorts. In colder weather, footless tights or leggings/yoga pants for girls are allowed. For the safety of your children, no socks are allowed on the gym floor.
Cheerleading
Cheerleaders may wear shorts and a t-shirt. Leggings/yoga pants are allowed in colder weather. Please bring or wear your tennis shoes to Cheerleading Class each week!
Dance
Please wear a leotard and tights.
HAIR MUST BE PULLED BACK (OUT OF FACE OR IN A PONYTAIL) WHILE PARTICIPATING IN ANY CLASSES AT JACGD! NO GUM OR JEWELRY, PLEASE (SMALL STUD EARRINGS ARE OK - NO HOOPS OF ANY SIZE)!
Missed and Make-Up Classes
JACGD will not pro-rate fees for missed classes. If your child is sick, you may make-up your classes. You may NOT take a month off, then come back and expect to have your spot still open. The only excused time off is by a doctor's note/request. Otherwise, you must pay for your spot in order to keep it.
If class is cancelled due to weather, I will let you know when the scheduled make-up session will be. When class is cancelled due to holidays, a make-up date has already been set and listed on your JACGD calendar. Remember, these calendars will be handed out the first week of class each month. Extras will be available upon request.
Communication
It is very important that the lines of communication stay open between JACGD and parents. I will frequently send home notes with your children and post notes around the gym with pertinent information regarding programs and upcoming events, schedule changes, class rates, etc. It is your responsibility as a parent to pay attention to these notices to ensure you are fully informed and aware of what is happening at JACGD.
Observation
Parents are welcome to watch class on the last class day of each month from the Dance Room. The Front Room (at the top of the stairs) is the waiting and play area for parents and siblings. JACGD asks that you please refrain from coaching from the sidelines while you are watching. It is a distraction for the children and I need their full attention while they are in class. If you have questions or comments, please set up a time to meet with me outside of class.
All children not participating in class must be supervised by an adult while at JACGD. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO PLAY ON ANY OF THE GYMNASTIC EQUIPMENT AT ANY TIME!!! Please do not let your children be a distraction to other people in the gym or those out on the gym floor. No running or gymnastics skills are allowed outside of a structured class.
Returned Check Policy
A $30.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
Inclement Weather Policy
JACGD follows the Dodge City School District inclement weather policy. If Dodge City cancels school due to bad weather, classes at JACGD will be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.
